I think every few years to focus on Gen 1-3 would increase popularity. Not necessarily a reprint of older sets but have a certain generation feature more with some throwbacks/reimagining of classic cards. I think they miss the mark sometimes though like for example 151 could have been a lot better. IMO they could have easily given all 151 an art rare subset and how incredible would that have been for collectors!

I actually think they need to do a set that focuses on gen 2 and gen 3! So rare we see that they always go to gen 1

All the new series are so junky. Too much going on, too many pokemon that mean nothing to anyone. Just Filler pokemon just to add characters. The original 150 are the true heroes, the rest is nothing

I feel we’re due some sort of Gen 2 love. Maybe not a reprint, but something like 151 would be cool 🤷🏻‍♂️

Going off those prices, the SV era is doing a lot better than people have made out! Granted, they're not hitting the 2021 (Umbreon VMAX) or 2022 (Giratina V), but excluding those the value isn't too far off. Regarding the last point, I think it would reduce prices if they kept doing reprints of early gens, especially if it was 2-3 times a year. The less scarce something is, the less it costs, which is why the SRs and IRs from Obsidian Flames vs Paldea Evolved are generally cheaper, even ignoring the anomalies. Also, the younger generations getting in to Pokemon don't have the same nostalgia to gen 1 as the adults do now

Great points bud! Always love throwing questions out like that to see what people think! I would say that looking at the video of 2022 overall value is done with only a few holding something however the economy is terrible and I think some people have left the hobby

Ffs literally pulled only 1 of those cards. I don't understand card price data, because PokeData has a lot of cards way lower. Like Miriam apparently is not a £21 card but you can't get it less than £45 on eBay. And Mewtwo from CZ is listed £35 on PokeData but again can't see it any less than £45.

So a good place for rough value is actually TCGplayer…it is American however is the most accurate and what so many use Obviously eBay solds uk is what you will use to finalise a sale etc

I would say every 5 years reprint of 151 would be great, any more and it risks overwhelming collectors and de-valueing previous sets on average, maybe not the charizard

The 151 Charizard is crap art work he is overweight zero detail of you zoom in and zero detail in the background very simple the clouds and art is something my 8yo can draw! So many better options with art work out there but people have fomo and love the zard!

Everything is going to flop from now on out and will continue to flop till another pandemic hits in another 10 years or so. Pokemon and other tcg and collectors just got lucky for a once in a life time event
