@@Toymonkeyjr err no, they will not mass produce these cars, first it's being made in their GR factory, you know the factory which produced the A80 Supra, Lexus LFA, and GR yaris....secondly they are hand making these things, torque wrenching all of these by their best engineers and mechanics. I think the Japanese call them Tukemi craftsmen. These cars especially the GR cars are very special. I am assuming most of these will sit in some rich guys car collection garage waiting for the resell price to inflate....

If any Toyota higher ups are reading the comments: I don’t know what happened with the larger spoiler that was on the Launch Edition in the press release. But Toyota, pleaseeee at the very least offer that exact wing as a dealer-installed option. Not anything smaller, but that EXACT wing. It looked fantastic and just complimented the circuit edition’s design in a way that the spoiler in this video doesn’t. It feels now as if it’s missing something. So please let us buy that wing!

Saw Toyota said they are giving every dealership 3 (2 core and 1 circuit) so if you're top 3 on your dealer's list you should be good! I'm #1 at my local dealership, crossing my fingers for a circuit!

@@JacesOwnWorld How do you figure? Nobody's driven it. That three-cylinder is also the most powerful in the world. It's also a homologation powertrain derived from racing. How does 100 horsepower per cylinder and an advanced AWD system sound slow? I'm willing to bet this thing will be quicker than all of its competition except the Golf R with the DSG. It's also at least 150-200 pounds lighter than the Golf. Everything else in the segment has a warmed over economy four-pot so I'm excited we're getting something like this. A smaller engine doesn't equate to less performance. Americans struggle with that.

I’m pleased the US are getting this car after not getting an allocation for the GR Yaris. I’m open to hear the latest news from anyone in the know but I understood only 5,000 of the lower spec Core cars were being produced and only 1,500 of the Circuit Pack variant. If true, very few will be seen on the road with many ending up locked away as investments. We got 1,500 of the GR Yaris’ here in the UK and the 70 or so that are on the used market at the moment are all trading above their original buy price (can’t see me ever selling mine). I can see that scenario being repeated with the GR Corolla in the US - to any of the lucky purchasers, please drive those cars as they are meant to be driven. They are fabulous machines and across bumpy & twisty roads, in my experience they have no equal.

So how about doing the slides on asphalt? Oversteer on a dirt track is easy, and can be done in even a FWD vehicle. On asphalt, does this have the ability to neutralize the strong understeer push you normally get in a Corolla?
