I have a 2013 Prius, 129k miles, still have like $11k to pay off. This new Prius is definitely my next car choice whenever I can get it! Does any one know if I can sell my current car? Or do I have to pay it off before selling?
@jasonodine
@jasonodine 9 ай бұрын
It depends how much your car is worth. If your car is worth $9K and your loan is $11K you can pay $2K toward your loan so the balance is even before getting a new car. Or if you pay it off beyond the even point (if that’s an option), you can use that positive equity to trade. May only be a couple of thousand but could help!

This is not Prius this is a laughable joke! By now Prius should have been able to go for 50 miles or more on EV alone and have faster charging speeds. How are they still using J1772?! Once Prius was a lead car in hybrids and innovation now lags behind everyone else. Sure it looks better than previous Priuses but how fast people will get board how it looks and actually start to look at the specs…

The really cut corners with the new Prius. The only thing working for it is the looks and a little more power. I really don’t see any other advantage in this over a 2022. Smaller interior. Bad placement of gauge cluster which is hard to see with the small readouts. They should have brought in closer to the driver and higher. Tall people will have very little headroom. Less cargo space. They didn’t improve the road and engine noise when on the highway.

Toyota dealer markups are insane. If fuel economy is the first buying requirement. After the trap set by the dealer, the price of the Prius is close to that of an electric car, and even the price of the LE model has reached 31,000. It is best to buy an electric car tesla 3 or a fuel Civic, Hyundai Elantra.
@coachafella
@coachafella Жыл бұрын
Not worth it for me. Low miles per year driver, I calculated the gas savings vs the extra cost of this Prius over a Mazda 3, and it would take me at least 20 years to make up the difference in gas savings even without the over MSRP dealers are charging. So no, not worth it, but high mileage drivers would make a different calculation. I am very impressed with the leap in design and performance Toyota made over previous models though. Should be a major wake up call to other car makers.

201,430 miles, funny! I use ChatGTP to calculate, Prius is priced at 31,000, Elantra is priced at 22,000, and the price difference is 9,000 US dollars. Prius is set at 65mpg, and Elantra is set at 33mpg. Finally, AI calculates that Prius needs to drive a total of 201,430 miles to earn back The $9,000 price difference in gas savings compared to the ELANTRA.

Maybe I should get the LE, and see if there is aftermarket way to custom my own digital key to work with the car? And customize seats. Or, get the XLE and just try to sell the 19inches wheel and buy 17inches wheel. Lol man why they have to make us do all these work

The Prius is lovely and has great mileage. However, when comparing it to my 2022 Prius, it has problems. The new Prius is 2 inches lower. It's harder to get in and out of, especially for back passengers. The front screens are small, and part of it is blocked by the steering wheel. It doesn't have heads-up display. I was told that it won't stop if a pesestrian walks in front of you like mine. Funny, how this video skips all those comparisons. Finally, my vehicle cost less than $40,000. This one cost $50,000!
