Great tutorial. Had my car a couple days and found this to be extremely helpful. Wish all Toyota dealers would use your video for a rool to train all sales personnel. Our 2 sales people knew nothing about the set ups of a RAV 4 safety features or apple screen.

Thanks for watching! 1. Yes, they can either plug into the USB, or make a separate Bluetooth connection. Your Bluetooth must be turned off of your phone for the car to do this. Because your car will always favor you. 2. If you live anywhere that gets cold in winter, that’s the main reason. The fuel quality goes down, and the cars work harder to warm themselves for you. But these work for me: •proper tire air pressure (checked monthly) •new engine air filter yearly •use the proper fuel for the car (regular 87 for most Toyota cars) •oil changes every 5k miles or 6mo (whichever first) with the proper oil. ________________________ •no harsh acceleration •no harsh braking •keep RPMs below 4,000 often •no idling •read articles on “hyper miling” *I break the bottom rules all the time because I like to enjoy my vehicle. I never break the top rules. But if you’re in winter like me, mpg will go down. Especially if you remote start your vehicle like I do. Hope this helps you

Hi Brian, thank you for your tutorials. I bought a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium two days ago. The salesman did a good job of explaining the buttons and settings but it was rather overwhelming at the time. The last car I bought was a 2005 Camry LE so this is all new to me. One example is the Hold button which will help in the Costco gas lines 😊 I found you by searching for a RAV4 infotainment videos. Thank you for these informational videos. Helps me with my questions

Good tutorial. To improve it, you could get into the "Auto" climate mode which is quite smart about what everything should be set to, and so that smart flow button will be set too because the car will automatically determine if there are people sitting in the back seat or the passenger side of the front seat. It will also automatically turn on recirculate the air if it is very hot outside and slow the fan speed until the A/C is really blowing cool air.

Great video very helpful. We have a 2020 XSE Hybrid AWD and the only thing I can't find is the readout of all 4 tires PSI. Maybe they added it to new ones but it's an annoying oversight on a car with otherwise all the modern tech.

I got a rav 4 awd hse for Xmas 2023, the dash looks nothing like the you tube post, I’m in Aust so that is one difference. I haven’t got the radio, there is the media panel in the middle ? Lots of other diffs, too many to mention !

I love everything but the infotainment system. For someone who is only 5'2" the screen impedes my view when driving even with my driver's seat elevated as high as it will go. They should have placed it into the dashboard. I love everything else, I just wish maybe they gave you the ability to lower it, or fold it down or something! Anyone else having this problem? Is there anyway I can have Toyota switch the screen to a smaller one that I can actually see over?

Hi Hal, thank you. The battery regenerates on its own when you decelerate and when you drive at higher speeds. The car does it all for you in the background.

What I don't understand is: Since there are no mechanical gear linkages in a computerized transmission I know that in "Park" the computer locks the brakes as shown by the red "Brake" icon. What I don't understand is if the car is left for a month or so, and the battery runs out will the car begin to roll downhill as there is no more electricity to keep the brakes locked?

The computer controls an electronic motor that engages the parking brake. So battery dead or not, the car is parked on both the parking pawl, and the engaged parking brake. Electricity is needed to engage and disengage. Electricity is not used to maintain parking brake. Your car won’t roll if battery dies, in fact it won’t start or move anywhere. I hope this helps.

I will play with it and try to find it. But when it is night time my google maps remain super bright like it is during the day. I just got my car and in my pervious car, (Didn't have Android auto so I had to buy a device that allowed me to use Android auto in my 2019 CHR. ) But at night my screen color would change to night mode automatically. I don't know if that's a Google maps thing or infotainment thing. But I never had to change it before. Even in cars I rented.
