I tried! Never heard back from trek when I reached out in February and March, then I tried to do a week demo of one locally and no one is getting them in for demo’s this year. I was bummed also!

Great choices! Out if curiosity why'd you opt not to match up the two DW Link equppied bikes (Ripmo and Switchblade)? Also, for the sack of versatility, why not include the Druid V2? That way youd have a high pivot option on the mix. Did Forbidden not have enough demo bikes?

So I reached out to Forbidden but never heard back from them, and I was not going to buy that bike for this shootout. Scor and Pivot did both send me bikes for this test, and I owned the other 4 (actually only 3 but my girlfriend owned the fourth one). So there were a couple of reasons, I rode all of the bikes at least once before deciding which ones I would pair with each other. I wanted each comparison to be close and relevant within each video. The WAO and Ripmo were the most alike with 160mm front forks for each and the most amount of rear travel. Then the Pivot and Scor both were leant out to me to use so there would be absolutely no bias with those. I wanted to look back on this whole video series and know that I 100% meant everything with zero bias on it all and that made the most sense to me.

I have owned the ripmo, switchblade and SCOR 4060. The SCOR is my favorite of the three. Interested to hear what you think of the Arrival.

Well love your videos, but I will say a couple of interesting matchups. I have owned several of these bikes and I’m wondering why you wouldn’t pit the Pivot versus the ibis? I’ve owned both and I find them to have a lot of similar traits, but ride very differently. I have never ridden the smuggler or the scor but I would imagine those would also be too very similar worth comparing. I guess I’ll have to wait and watch the videos lol.

We definitely have the same taste in bikes. The SCOR will be the most interesting for me, and I think the Ripmo will be the one to get the Dialed MTB overall #1

So the reasoning behind that was the Geo and the travel was closer between the Ripmo and the Arrival. Then the geo between the SCOR and the Pivot were super close and the rear travel is only 2mm different between those two and the HTA is only .5* different between them. That was the reasoning I used. I’m excited to see what you think of the videos when they all come out!

Hahah yes the smuggler is a super rad bike. I will say that every single one of these bikes are pretty dang rad, I don’t think anyone would be disappointed with any of them!

Glad you appreciate that! It's surprising how many of these bike videos on here are paid off by the manufacture to make sure they are good. Also a reason why I wanted to do a series like this, where there are actual winners and losers (in my opinion).

I thought about putting them up against each other, also both DW link which I think is actually a bigger deal then the suspension but I thought the way I did it made the most sense for Geo and travel numbers for each bike.

The Arrival is gonna kill it. I have the 170 SP2 and not only does it eat everything up on the downs and it climbs well too!

Yeah the Arrival is a pretty killer bike for sure! That head to head video comes out on Wednesday morning! Then all the bikes will be in a conclusion video at the end as well.

It is all new 2023 bikes. As far as I’m aware no manufacturer makes a full size full suspension bike in 26” anymore.
