2023 Updates In Metastatic Breast Cancer Treatment

Dr. Sammons summarizes promising new metastatic breast cancer treatments. Elecestrant, a selective estrogen receptor degrader just approved by the FDA, is particularly effective with few side effects.
Dr. Sammons focuses on ER/PR+, HER2- treatments but towards the end of her talk updates us on HER 2+ treatments, with a particular emphasis on brain metastases.
She also talks about the new HER2 low classification and other tumor DNA tests that can help determine effective treatments.

Just a note that I’m doing fine on Piqray. I had a variant of the actual Pic3ca mutation but my onc determined that Piqray was worth trying and it seems to be working. I had to stop Ibrance due to pneumonitis.
