@@beyourself2444 They aren't that skinny. They look tall though. Shawn Johnson's and Biles's style of gymnastic is also very attractive because it's powerful. Each style has its own beauty. The international look is not everything.

Suni's gymnastics is just beautiful in general. Unfortunately because of the "hype machine" she's so underscored, underrated all and overlooked for the artistry and mastery of the skills. It's unfortunate. She is gymnastics. Skills + artistry + mastery of both = great gymnastics ❤ Remove they "hype" she would be a 🥇🥇🥇 a heck of a lot more often.

Nothing minor about 2 serious types of kidney diseases. They are just experimenting on her with different medications to see what works. She doesn’t look well at all and if I were her mother, although I am old enough to be her grandmother, she damn sure would not be doing any elite gymnastics. Wonder if her family realizes that her pancreas could be next. Of course she’s a good gymnast and we want to see her compete while she is alive. I’m sorry but this just breaks my heart. She’s a kid.

i also dont quite understand how she scores so high when her execution is sloppy. shes so powerful if she just fixed up how her skills look I think she could go so far but without that execution its just not great to look at

@@nicolehex she is a gymnast who has much lower execution scores in international than domestic competitions, the US domestic judging is generally deemed a bit generous compared to international judging but there's always a few US gymnasts like Roberson and Skinner who get much much lower scores internationally than they do domestically.

Totally agree! The only spot that could possibly change is Kaliya. I could see Suni switched into that spot for her bars/beam IF she is healthy. Cause kaliya brings string floor and good vault (but that's not where we need help). And at this point I do not see Jade or Jocelyn making it. They simply have too much form and execution problems. So yeah, Suni or possibly Jordan might replace Kaliya. But the other 4 I think should be LOCKS.

My team: Simone Biles (best AA, will definitely be used on all 4 events) Shilese Jones (2nd best AA, could be used for all 4 events) Leanne Wong (3rd best AA, consistent, can fill in on any event, could be used for floor if she performs better than Roberson) Skye Blakely (very solid beam and bars) Joscelyn Roberson (solid cheng that will come clutch in team final, can definitely medal individually, solid floor as well) Alternate: Jordan Chiles (consistent AA, better execution/artistry than Carey, can fill in on any event, will be a hype teammate for team final) Vault Blakely/Wong/Jones (DTY) Roberson (Cheng) Biles (YDP) Bars Biles Blakely Jones Beam Wong/Jones Blakely Biles Floor Roberson/Wong Jones Biles

@@brodypennThose Olympians were performing under different rules and CoPs and obviously they have NOT studied the current code. See Nola’s and Shi’s floor and check who their choreographers are, I’m betting you anything you want that they are not those two “Olympians”

Her approach on the cheng is bad... its a deduction... form split legs, flexed feet, I mean what do you think she should have gotten? Sorry she isnt that girl this code.

@@lalareal180 Her landings on night 2 were so good, but to be completely honest, when I went back and watched both vaults at half speed, I think her scores were fair. She does have bent legs and some bend in the hip mid flight and although a little improved on the Cheng pre-flight leg separation, the deduction is still there. So, point taken.

DAMN!! Jade looks so freaking good on her stuck landings on her vaults. Both Skye snd Shilese look fabulous as do the returning pros. Suni, Simone, Jade . Paris & The furture is looking bright for the US ladies gymnastics. On a side note, I loved Suni's and Simones leotards. Especially Suni's white one on Beam.

I think it was fine given the selection procedures. I do think that there are more people who will be added after selection camp assuming they perform better so I think it was pretty fine.

Seeng Jade and Skye's DTYs back-to-back, it's so obvious how much more height Jade has. I love Skye and her vualts are beautiful, but she shouldn't be averaging higher than Jade on that.

She did the same thing on classics, it’s obvious she tries to promote Roberson to get her in the national team because they train together. She would even get a gold on vault with a simple 4.00 difficulty vault, lol

No she competed vault and had the highest scores by far. But, to get a medal for vault as an event, you have to do 2 different vaults on both nights of competition and she didn't do that. Not because she can't obviously lol, she just doesn't need to put any extra stress or strain on herself. There is literally no point in her doing extra vaults when she doesn't need to, does that make sense?

I watch this only because of Simone Biles. She makes everything in gymnastic easy, fun, wow but it's not a easy a it looks. In case you didnt see the whole show he was there purposely to spot her because that routine is very difficult and she is just coming back. So to play it safe they took the deduction for him being on the matt to spot her versus the risk of her getting injured. Her routine is so advance no one will pass her even with the small dedication. That was a smart move.

However, OP is commenting on Laurent being there for bars which: (1) is totally common for all coaches to spot during bar routines and (2) is ridiculous because Laurent coached world champions and olympic medalists on bars, so he knows what he's doing lmao
