i didn't realize you were the one who started the 20 games challenge, thank you so much! your tutorials for godot are some of the best on the platform, it's beyond helpful to have someone with serious software development experience taking a dive into bits of the engine and explaining how things work.

I just started using Obsidian myself, albeit for very simple note taking/daily notes. I'd be very interested in a video of how you use Obsidian to help with Daily time management/game dev without it being a time vampire. (Many of the tutorials I've come across so far for it seem almost cultish/snake oily from my brief searching.) Thanks for sharing and best of luck for your 2024 goals!!

Yeah, I might wait on that one for a one-year update. I'm still learning a lot. With that said, here's my basic setup: I have daily notes with a regular checklist. Things I need to get done every day. I also have a template that lets me add regular notes to particular days, so "take out the trash" on Thursdays. I also have a table with basic categories for time tracking. I have the day divided into hours, and I mark off how I spend each hour of each day. This is mostly for personal accountability so I don't spend 8 hours on KZbin in a day :) Finally, I use the Kanban plugin for tracking to-do list items. This could be an external program (like Trello), but I like to keep it all in the one place, hence the plugin. I think the main thing is just figuring out what is most important to you and starting there. The big advice videos I've seen always start with "install these 15 plugins." I just started with daily notes, and added things as they make sense. It's an extremely customized solution that only really works for me.

Amazing! I'm new to obsidian, but could you list all the plugins you are using? I love the kanban one :)

I use Periodic Notes, Kanban, Dataview, and Calendar (for periodic notes). I also use QuickAdd and Templater for macro type things and templates, and Iconize to make things pretty. I'd personally start with the ones that fit your needs right now, and add more as you grow your notes. I mainly started with Calendar and Kanban, since that was my primary use for Obsidian, and moved into the Templater, Dataview, etc. plugins as I needed more functionality.

@@SDGGames Thank you! I will try those :) It will take some time for me to get up to speed, but this will help a lot!
