Here is kind of a radical suggestion. Turn the drums sideways so we can see what Senri is doing. The audience would appreciate all the things she does back there playing the drums. Really can't see her otherwise. 😎

Senri did play with that kind of set-up on a few occasions in the past, such as her performance in France at age 16, and some of her Kiyo*Sen gigs. And of course, many of TJA's club performances are recorded with multiple cameras so that you can see her from the side, from above, and bass drum pedal view. But with The Jazz Avengers, I doubt if we'll see what you're suggesting. I'm pretty sure that would create acoustic and/or logistical problems with Senri's large kit and an eight piece band. More importantly, although Senri is the bandleader, it seems she likes to present herself as "just another member", rather than the center of attention. Pretty sure she likes having the band's unique horn section as the most immediate visual focus.😎

@@peterb7923 possibly. I played drums for many years and when I see and hear a top-notch drummer there is so much the audience is missing in terms of watching all the amazing skills this kind of musician employees. However your reasoning is valid. 😎
@@J3unG You've probably heard this: John Coltrane would play very, very long solos when he was in Miles' quintet. Miles: "Why you gotta always play for so long????" John Coltrane: "When I get started with an idea, I don't know how to stop…" Miles: "Try taking the horn out of your mouth."
