Good to hear you are gonna finish. I followed from your first video & kinda took a break when it seemed you might not finish.

I'm making plans to finish up my 600 miles in New England too. I'm debating between slackpacking and backpacking. If i can get a driver, i might hike NY to the VT line this winter. The VT to the Kennebec will probably have to wait for the snow to melt. For you, going south of Shenandoah, you'll have a huge descent and climb from Three Ridges down to the Tye River and back up to the Priest. It rivals any other AT difficulty. The Mt Rodgers area is a huff and there are, (or were) two big climbs just north of Damascus. Going up from Rt 19E south towards Roan Mountains SOBO is a major league hike. I'd try to slackpack that NOBO. The rest has already faded in my memory. This is Tick Magnet

Yeah, not a huge thing really....but I was surprised by my internal reaction to all the direction changes. By the way, thanks for the Altra LP 9 review. I put them in a shopping cart online a few days ago and have kept thinking about getting them... your review pushed me over the edge. :)

@ I’ve been liking them, I may get another pair ahead of my NoBo flop
