Thanks so much for your continued support, I'm really happy to see two of my games at the top of your lists! I hope Sacrifice 2e doesn't disappoint, haha (it's going to be awesome).

18:00 - I must admit that I was initially a little sceptical over how good Ker Nethalas could be given the amount of hype for the game on r/solo_roleplaying. However, when I got the game and played through the rules, I realised that the hype was justified! It's a game that does what it does phenomenally well. I love the fact that it doesn't fall into the trap of making the PC larger-than-life, or some sort of Conan-esque hero, instead characters feel gritty and like they are fighting for survival.
@SeekersHollow22 күн бұрын
Absolutely! The gritty survival elements are a major part of what makes it a special game! Glad you ended up enjoying it.

I saw Outcast Silver Raiders and thought it looked really intriguing. I pulled the trigger yesterday given EF had a 15% off sale going. Starting to read through the pdf. Need to figure out how to solo it and what tools I want to use..... Keep me posted on how you end up soloing it!

I'm enjoying Ker Nethalas, but I am feeling a little like the game sits in the "tax form" category of games, much like D100 Dungeon. I think the mechanics and game loop are quite good, and the tone and worldbuilding are solid, but I do kinda feel like I'm just trying to keep a "to-do" list - Do you use any visuals or player aids or maps or anything? I printed out a random dungeon which speeds up the room drawing, but I'd love to know how others are spicing up the game

Perhaps games they take a bit of bookkeeping aren't what you are looking for. You may prefer games like Loom or Glide.

I really want to get Forbidden Lands but I waited too long and now it's only available in PDF. I'd love to get the physical books but they aren't available anymore and according to Free League, they don't plan to get them back in stock for North America. :(
@SeekersHollow21 күн бұрын
@@jcraigwilliams70 Wow! I’m surprised by that! Have you tried Amazon or eBay? That makes me wonder if they are working on a second edition, which would be great news.
@jcraigwilliams7021 күн бұрын
@@SeekersHollow I hesitate to buy from eBay. I have looked on Amazon. They have one copy available on the Canadian site (where I am) but it's going for $140, which is significantly more than what it was a couple of weeks ago. They don't seem to have it on the US site. On the Free League site, they show it as available in EU/ AUS/ UK, but not in CA/ US, so I asked when it might be back in stock and their response was "The X mark next to Canada indicates that the item is out of stock with our Canadian distributor. Meanwhile, the green dot next to the UK/World shows that it is available through our UK distributor for the rest of the world, including regions not specifically listed, like Asian countries. There's no reprint planned for the out-of-stock products at the moment." So I guess the only things to hope for are a second edition or for "at the moment" to mean "perhaps in a few months." Or maybe they will release a softcover version. I find it odd, myself, given that it seems to be gaining more attention from players. When I started writing this about 4 minutes ago, I double-checked the price on Amazon. Just now I checked again to see if there was a shipping charge and that one copy is already gone.

Harnmaster? Delta green? CoC? Shadowdark? Mutant year zero?
@SeekersHollow22 күн бұрын
Harn looks really cool, super detailed! Maybe when I have a lot of time on my hands I can get to it! Delta Green, while I'm not really into current day-ish settings, I love D100 systems and darker horror elements. A possibility! CoC kinda same thing with the setting not really being my vibe, but I love Cthulhu influences on grim dark fantasy! Shadowdark I think is fairly similar to Outcast Silver Raiders in terms of the rules system? MYZ another one where I'm not really drawn by the setting, but I know it's got a sizable following.
