I just got my 2024 MDX w/TECH on Saturday. I am loving it. I am used to the trackpad since my last 2 cars were TLX w/TECH. I think it's very user friendly if you just got your first Acura.

I have ‘22 MDX Advance and the touchpad comes with a learning curve. It work perfectly but a bit cumbersome on applecar play. I love that its not a touchscreen because i dont need to clean up the screen. So far, 2 engine oil and a rear diff oil change for the past 13,000 miles. I had to bring it for a recall on PGMFI (?) due programming of auto stop/start engine. It feels premium but not like mercedes benz luxurious. Im fine with that because the price is not like MB too. I love the sound of V6 on hard acceleration and quiet cabin during cruising. I found the suspension a bit louder when hitting potholes/uneven road as compared to my traded in 2016 MDX.

Great review. I have 2024 MDX Tech package. I like it except engine noise level inside the car when driving. It should be more quiet than this.

Actually Acura just released information to the press within the last week that a touch screen is coming to the mdx this year for the 2025 refresh. I guess it'll be a mostly perfect vehicle especially at this price point.

I hope they keep the touchpad and simply add the touchscreen feature. I love the touchpad, so much more natural to use than trying to touch and swipe on the screen whilst driving.

I have the 2021 RDX Acura and I hate the touchpad. I see that they haven't changed it in recent models. Yes, the touch pad is mapped, but the mapping only works with the built-in Acura menu. It's so difficult to navigate Apple Car and Google Play with the touch pad which is what most people use. Not getting another Acura until they change the touch pad.

I guess you would just have to like styling of this trim MDX Technology. Its not enough features for me. That's why I would still take a 2023-2024 Honda Pilot Elite over this. No Muliti View Camera System for front,No Heated Rear Seats, No Ventilated front seats. No Heads-Up Display. I would just want these features. Don't think MDX has 3rd Row AC Vents. I'm surprised it has memory passenger seat.

All depends on what appeals to your personal design palate. The Pilot looks no where as good exterior and interior as the MDX. Also, during city driving, the driving dynamics are close, but you take the Pilot and the MDX on a windy mountain road and you will instantly know the difference. I did that and the MDX is a SUPERIOR handling vehicle. The Pilot is a great vehicle, if one is satisfied with its look. But it just wasn't my style.

​@s.patterson5698 I'm comparing this trim package to the 2024 Honda Pilot Elite. It's lacking to way to many features not standard. You have to go for MDX Advance Package. I always have liked MDX throughout the years. But I would want many of the features this Technology MDX doesn't have. No Foglights No Remote Start. I'm not new to Honda or Acura. I purchased a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL 24yrs ago. I still have with low mileage for its age. I got purchased it over Accord. I had 2 new 90s Accord sedans. We also have 2007 Honda Ridgeline Pickup Truck in family. We purchased it new and has 230,000 miles on it. I have driven a few Acura loaner MDX over the years. But not enough features on this trim MDX to justify over Pilot Elite trim at $53,000. I have watched many Honda Pilot reviews over the past year. I was looking at it and projecting what a fully redesign Ridgeline on same platform and features would be. Honda did not redesign the Ridgeline to 4th Gen Pilot platform. So that left me to looking strongly at specifically Pilot Elite. Several reviews convinced me.

I had the 2022 and now the 2024. Acura was lazy with this vehicle. I’m Sorry but even the dealer admitted that they didn’t change much. The 2025 looks a tad bit better.

My Acura is ready for an upgrade and this is the one for me. The touch pad will be best for me and not bother me at all. Love the phone charging, V6 3.5 engine and all the other luxury items. 2024 is my year for a new car. Ive only driven Hondas and Acuras and I live them.

No fog lights and no remote start. My 2019 Civic ex model has better configurations than this.
