2024 and potential 2025 DLC Predictions Part II - Planet Zoo

I have a feeling 2024 is not the final year for Planet Zoo. I think if they were stopping support, we would have gotten an announcement by now. They did say they had three new games planned within the Planet franchise. It is likely once those games are ready for release, then development for PZ may stop. I can see 2025 possibly being the final year for Planet Zoo. There are still lots of regions and animal groups that haven’t been covered yet.

There's atleast 2 planned for 2024 I have no evidence but 1.17 is probably gonna release in either March or April or even May, and is gonna be a biome scenary pack. Based on the current pattern. Last two DLCs were region based (Oceania and Eurasia), so the next one will be biome based. For me I think 1.17 will be Mountain/Highlands But that's just speculation

The DLC's that I'm predicting are going to be added to Planet Zoo in 2024 are. Parts of the world: Amazon: Black and gold howler monkey, Brazilian tapir, green anaconda, southern tamandua and Linne's two-toed sloth Sonora: American black bear, bighorn sheep, bobcat, burrowing owl, coyote, greater roadrunner, North American porcupine and western hog-nosed snake Patagonia: Greater rhea, Humboldt penguin, Patagonian mara, South American sea lion and postman butterfly. India: Axis deer, blackbuck, Hanuman langur, rusty-spotted cat and Indian flying fox Biomes: Coastal: Atlantic puffin, coconut crab, common seal, Humboldt penguin and Inca tern Woodlands: American black bear, Axis deer, Barbary macaque, ground cuscus, ring-tailed coati, Scottish wildcat, short-beaked echidna and corn snake Tundra: Gentoo penguin, musk ox, stoat, walrus and snowy owl

For the Safari Pack, i would switch out the Blackbuck for the Gerenuk or Masai Giraffe, since the Blackbuck is a native Asian animal and would feel out of place alongside the African animals in that pack. Blackbuck also lives in forest biome, so i would put it in the forest pack instead, replacing the White-Tailed Deer.

1- would love to see them add a petting zoo type pack would be nice to see the guests cuddling little animals 2- the game devs could make exhibits not pre made as i have a feeling many would agree making our own exhibits would be better than the pre-made ones 3- having extinct animals in the zoos would be fun to have such as the Tasmanian tiger ( i just love how wide they open their mouths )

@@redpandareggie3642 well even if scientists aren't able to bring back animals such as the thylacine, there is still the knowledge about some of these animals as most went extinct in the 1900's ( all thx to us wonderful creatures ) though i reckon the devs could add certain animals to the game to help bring more awareness to what really is happening to animals. the last thylacine passed in the year 1936, at the horbart zoo in tasmania, though that could be incorrect as maybe some went into hiding deep in the lands they came from

@@Artemis-Nova-sj2jw that is an interesting theory as to what the devs could do, and there is still a small chance that in the densest, most rugged areas of Tasmania where humans rarely venture, there could be a hidden population of thylacines, but the chances are still low

I do hope that if we get a Planet Zoo 2 in the next 5-8 years, I hope they just combine scenery and animals packs into one kind of pack, though this is just a random idea and I don’t know how well it would work in practice

More than likely, the first pack for 2024, 1.17 is gonna be a Scenary Pack that's gonna be region based or go back to biome themes. As for my guess, I think its gonna be the latter, and is gonna be Mountain/Highlands biome with a Tibetan theme 1 Markor or Mountain Goat 2 Gelada Baboon or Hamadryas Baboon 3 California or Andean Condor 4 Tibetan or European Marmot 5 Japanese Giant Salamander or Chicken frog (Exhibit)

I’m still hoping for flying birds, fish(including sharks), mollusks, cetaceans (dolphins, propoises, etc.), African, Indian, indochinese, Javan, Arabian and Persian leopards, asiatic lions, a change from west African Lion to just African Lion, Nile, mugger, Cuban and American crocodiles, Sumatran, indochinese and Malayan tigers, kinkajous, walruses, sifakas and other lemurs, some species of seal, a change from western chimpanzee to just common chimpanzee, some new color morphs for lions (excluding genetic mutations because the white Lion is already in the game), tree kangaroos, South American tapirs, white nosed and South American coatis, howler, spider, snub nosed and squirrel monkeys, tufted capuchins, baboons, aye ayes, lion tailed macaques, bat eared foxes, masai, Rothschild’s, Nubian, kordofan and South African giraffes, burrowing owls, impalas, roan antelopes, blackbucks, white tailed, mule, axis and sambar deer, nilgai, mongooses, malayan and Indian flying foxes, rheas, American and lesser flamingoes, shoebills, coyotes, American badgers, honey badgers, ocelots, bobcats, Canadian lynxes and more.

For this game my personal best case scenario would be for Planet Zoo to pull a JWE and implement every remaining animal from (at least) Zoo Tycoon 2 that are possible (so as of now no Marine or Extinct)

Very great and underrated video and channel! Although, the Threatened animal pack is the same as the Conservation dlc and the Nocturnal animal pack is the sane as the twilight dlc, but overall wonderful video with great ideas! For the amount of work you put into your videos you deserve way more recognition and subscribers too!

Those packs are their animal pack sequels, pretty much what we got this year except for the Oceania Pack which was on its own. But Tropical was Southeast Asia's scenery sequel and the Arid and Eurasia Animal Packs are sequels of Africa and Europe Pack

Good thing you didn’t include the European Brown Bear. I don’t want a petting zoo even for free, all other packs are needed, + I want a leopard seal somewhere and instead of the boring clone leopard free gift I want a blackbuck, replace the safari spot with gerenuk, the most unique antelope. Ok, so for your Central American Animal Pack, I would move around and proffer alternatives to your roster: - Geoffrey's spider monkey, ocelot, kinkajou, white-nosed coatimundi, and plumed basilisk. The bushdog would work better as the alternative to the South American coatimundi in the Latin America Pack. I agree with you on your alternative Latin America Animal Pack. I'm surprised you wouldn't include the Grévy's zebra in either the Safari or the Threatened pack, since they are popular in zoos and safari parks.

I dont understand how manatee ends up in these lists or on the meta wishlist, we dont have any fully aquatic animals yet, otherwise we would be asking for full marine packs more. But also I really like this format of dlc ideas is there a format somewhere or do you make them yourself

As cool as they would be, I was basing my ideas on a wide enough range as possible to include the most requested animals by the community, Central America and Latin America happened because we lack a lot of Latin American species as well as including Caribbean and Mayan/Aztec scenery and Pacific Northwest happened because I feel Native American scenery should be represented

@redpandareggie3642 Hey mate ^^, first off , really awesome to see you doin another speculation video , thanks ever so much for your amazing theories and such Seriously loving this part 2 Pacific Northwest is a nice change of title for North America pack ^^ and very nice selection ; no complaints on that one , same with the Forest pack ^^, really great choices , especially with the Whitetailed deer , and loving how you put the mountain goat to take the turkeys place and moving the wild Turkey to the forest pack, giving it a good wide variety 👍👍, and having the golden snub nosed monkey here is a very nice addition, especially to spread out with that primate pack idea from the last video you did. Central America ^^, like with Eurasia could be a very nice choice for a pack ^^ and perhaps other ancient civilizations and etc like the Mayan and Aztecs could work ^^ with the scenery. Glad to see the Kinkajou suggestion was useful ^^, and loving the idea of giving the Bush Dog and Basilisk some attention . And I still hope for the Latin America as well, amazing great selection of course ^^; possibly on the fence with the South American tapir since we have already 2 species but I might grow to like it ^^; but if you wanted to find a replacement ; perhaps a Tayra could be an interesting choice ^^. I hope the Central America and Latin America will both happen since the New World deserves so much more attention with Planet Zoo ^^ Safari pack seems good ^^, still hoping for Olive or Chacma baboon instead ; but am ok if it’s a Hamadryas Baboon. and the double antelope idea could work , although perhaps with a different species since black Buck while cool are more known from India (but like with the South American tapir , I could grow to like it) so maybe as a replacement perhaps a species like a Topi , Hartabeest , Eland or Impala as you stated in your second consideration for safari pack ^^. That second consideration would be good with the new giraffe 🦒 and the spot for the croc and leopard if they aren’t anniversary animals ^^ Petting zoo isn’t top of my list , and could be just a side thing, but that’s just me 😅 Threatened pack is a nice callback to the conservation pack and well said about the Cincinnati Zoo ^^ ; nice reference there ^^. Love the rest of the species on the list ; although I would’ve love to have seen the Florida Panther or Asiatic Lion on this list ; but other than that ; too good selection ^^ Nocturnal pack is a good idea for the twilight pack ^^ and of course once again is a really great selection, although the burrowing owl is a small stretch since they’re diurnal mainly , but I wouldn’t complain too much since burrowing owls have been on my list since the Prairie Dogs came around to the game ^^. A good replacement for the Kinkajou if it is already in from the Central America , Latin America or both packs in my opinion could be a ringtail Cat or perhaps genet or Civet since one of those would be a unique choice . And even though a firefly walkthrough would be very beautiful, I’d prefer the tokay gecko, and maybe make a special firefly scenery piece that mimics it ^^ so we can get both ^^. I like the selection of packs for 2024 ; still hoping for a change with the flamingo in the coastal pack with a Wood Stork , Roseate Spoonbill or perhaps even a Great Blue Heron would be better in my opinion since it’d be a different and more unique species of bird since we already have flamingos . I like flamingoes , i truly do, but it’d be nice to get more varieties of wading birds in the game Same with the alpine pack. Still a mixed bag with the musk ox , and the hyrax and pheasants are a definite surprise ^^. But it looks pretty interesting . My best choices to replace one of those 3 in my opinion would be a Guanaco ^^ still now with the mountain goat on the table with the Pacific Northwest For 2025; the Patagonian Mara would be an interesting surprise with the Safari pack ^^; interesting move . A anniversary could be a nice possible surprise with the petting zoo And like before, aviary still to me seems like a great way to go out , although I still hope for a sequel not too long of wait after this games finish ^^ since we know it possible with what they did with Jurassic World Evolution and Evolution 2 I hope the the Central America , Latin America , Safari extra and Nocturnal pack could work out still too ^^, either in this first game or the sequel thing ^^ What do you think ? I hope you’ll comment on what you think of my suggestions from both your videos sometime; cause I’d love to hear what you think and see if they could work ^^ Also , I though up some new stuff for ya 1. For the safari pack ; if we wanted to not do another species of antelope for the Safari pack, I thought of a great addition to take its place ; The Helmeted Guineafowl . Not only is it a ground bird , but this species found in many zoos and some farms ^^, making it an interesting candidate which would allow another bird into the game . Also, I got this idea for a possible small pack. I know it might not happen , but mainly hear me out and tell me what you think ^^ The Urban Pack : A pack that showcases some species that have adapted to live alongside people and helps people understand that living with nature is possible . The showcase species I had in mind would be the Coyote since it’s a species I was hoping for but was shot down since the North America and Arid Desert Pack . Along with that species; I was thinking the Marabou Stork , Hanuman Langur , Brushtail Possum and for the exhibit animal ; the Burmese or Reticulated Python (since some have been found in cities of Singapore and other locations; possibly to the extent of Florida with the Burmese ) Could be a interesting array for a small pack with some urban themed scenery pieces possibly What do you think? ^^

I was actually tempted to include the American Crocodile as part of the Central America Pack, I however decided against it as it is at 411 on the meta, so it doesn't have the largest of fan clubs it seems

Have you ever of muskox they are a species of buffalo or something like that and they have long hair and they’re built to be temperate or or tundra and climate it would be a really interesting climate because they are not that hard to make enclosures for but they also are least concerned animals so it’s easy for us to get the indoor zoo at the start to and they’re also very good crowd pleaserswhen you go to the Anchorage Alaska zoo and that’s the only zoo in the whole entire state and that zoo is going to the pipe hole

I know what a musk ox is, they are actually closely related to sheep and goats, but yes, the musk ox is highly requested, and would certainly be incredible to get in the game

This late in the game, we really only necessarily need 2 or 3 more Oceania species, those being the Short-Beaked Echidna, Goodfellow's or Matschie's Tree Kangaroo and the Perentie or the Lace Monitor

they have said they will continue supporting their current most successful properties, and planet zoo is one of them, mostly due to the problems they have had with their latest games and other financial problems
