Hi from Spain, what is the surface made of and why are there so many lines? I would think the lines not only help the bowler get their line but there are also lines going accross the rink at the side which must help distance control, is this the normal design of rinks in Australia? Kind regards John.

They can set up the rinks in either direction. It saves wear on the grass.
