This is a criminally under-viewed video! Thanks so much, the effort and detail is greatly appreciated, length be damned!

Haha. We agree across the board! Thanks for watching. We’ll keep trying to produce useful stuff.

Thank you for this video, I really appreciate the detail and how you broke it down. Years ago, I recall bringing a food scale to the store when buying a bat for my kid only to discover that the stated weights were not so accurate (I wondered if they weighed the bat without the grip tape vs. with the grip tape depending on manufacturer). Thanks again.

Single best piece of content for travel ball players using drop 10s. Fingers crossed you are doing it again this year. Would be great if it dropped in time for Santa to get his supplies

We need a drop 5. For travel. The kids are stuck only on whats hot for the season. I need more bang for less bucks

Is the soldier tank good pls respond I need to know if I should get that or demarini zen
@batdigest4 ай бұрын
Hey, it’s good. Yeah. In a drop 5 Tank probably hotter. But if you need the drop 10 or 8 the zen is great.
@DABEARS144 ай бұрын
Alright cuz Im drop 8 so should I get zen

Where and how do would you go about getting newly manufactured fp softball bats certified by all the different organizations?
@Lionswinitall20254 ай бұрын
@@DABEARS14it is very heavy on the top though, while the tank is light, both are great durability wise, I would pick the tank but that is just because I like moderate end load and zen is just too much

do you have any opinion on the axe avenge pro power? i haven't seen much about that bat wondering if its a sleeper bat. it seems like axe bats get slept on a little.
@batdigest3 ай бұрын
Axe for sure get slept on. Fans of their pro for sure. We lean a bit more towards the hype/icon in drop 5. In drop 10 it’s a toss up including the Axe Pro.

I love this video, probably watched it 4 times. Do you have any info regarding the difference between JBB and youth bats in USSSA for specific models ? Some companies will make a 28 in jbb and youth for example, but i can't find a barrel size/turn comparison anywhere. I'm also wondering more generally if there are rules of thumb about bat performance here: it seems like the hype fire jbb doesnt get the rave reviews of the youth model for example. On the other hand, catx composite seems to be equally appreciated in both models. The 27 inch jbbs are usually cheaper and easier to find so it would be valuable to have a comparison for the tweener kids, like my big 8 year old.

Four times!!? I might need to hire you as my personal video critic haha. As for the bat dilemma, generally rule for JBB bats in a size that you can also find in the non JBB version is that they use a different material in the barrel so they aren't rated for as high of impact speed. That might be more marketing that anything else, but we've seen JBB bats dent a bit more when compared to their non JBB counterparts. In any case, I think you are right about not enough info out there on the JBB front, its another one of those weird things in the industry that just exist without a ton of explanation for parents/consumers. Thanks again for watching.
