Great video. Nice to see how enthusiastic you are! I own almost that exact vehicle, black metallic with black 20 inch rims. Sold my 2021 Audi S4 to get into the 2024 BMW X3 M 40i. Thought I might be sacrificing performance going from the Audi, but wow, was I wrong! What a blast this is to drive! shout out to your parents and grandparents for also owning one! When will it be your turn? Keep up the good work.

Totally agree with BMW's oil change interval is much too long...as you suggest, I have an oil change done 1/2 way between the BMW specified changes. I would never take a vehicle, let alone our x3 M40i, to a quick change/"Jiffy Lube" establishment. Do not want amateurs touching it. Fortunate to have a trusted dealer who takes my FCP Euro Liqui Moly 0w20 oil change kit and does the oil changes without resetting the CBS so I retain my 3 BMW paid oil changes.

I've been driving BMW since 2011 and just ordered my sixth one. I get the oil changed, at the dealership, when the car tells me it's time and have never had a problem. Just my two cents but I believe the German guys in the white coats at BMW know the appropriate intervals 👍

Why don’t you change the oil yourself.???? It’s literally one of the most simple things to do on a car.!!!

@@robmotown1 Perhaps at one time it was worth my effort, no longer. I let the dealership do it with my choice of oil and filter...and they get to keep the "mess" and old oil.

I own a 21 M340i xDrive and a 23 X3 M40i xDrive for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Incredible vehicles! Love them!

The grey metallic is gorgeous, mine is the same. Most important option to me though is the Harmon Kardon audio, it's an absolute must have, imo, Also the Advanced Driver Assistance Professional Package with hands free Traffic Jam Assistant is great in stop and go traffic.

I have a '22, exact color combo and equipment, and have loved every mile! Was going to order a '25 but hate the interior/i8 screen so had my dealer find me a '24 which is coming in a couple weeks. In the vid you were correct that there are no subs in the rear but with the premium HK system there are subs under the front seats. Great vid on an amazing car!

Do not take this vehicle to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. At least take it to a shop that specializes in these cars. It's not worth the gamble after spending $70,000. Love the channel.

I’ve own this car for over a year. It’s excellent, very fast and luxurious. The only issue that I have is the seats do not have good side bolsters. And they don’t allow you to get the power side bolsters. When you’re flying around corners in this X3, which you will do because it has almost 400 hp, you will say why didn’t they put bolsters?

I believe they do if you upgrade to leather. The side bolsters were deleted on lower optioned vehicles due to Covid-related supply shortages.

It’s a good motor, but at that price point there are really nice alternatives with far more powerful engines. This M40i is the best in its price point but I wouldn’t say the same about the 30i 👍🏼

To be fair, I have a 2023, while its thrilling and fun, it is neither a comfortable or a luxurious ride. However, the roads where I live are considerably worse than the ones you are driving on. But on poor roads, the car is a little overly stiff and other options like the Macan are more comfortable, albeit at a different price point to match performance.

I’d like to know how your parents got $4k off msrp. I’ve been looking at the 2024 x3 for several months. I asked for $1500 off the sticker of a $77k 2024 x3 and was told they could give me nothing more than $100 off. I walked away and they called back a week later with “good news” that they could give me $250 off if I’d be willing to trade in my x5, which I have no interest in doing. I laughed and have been looking into out of state dealerships.

I think it was closer to $3500 but my grandparents also bought one so it was more of a packaged deal. Going at the end of the month usually helps too especially this January in FL bc they extended their end of the year sale by a month. Their initial offer was actually a $1500 discount that we ended up getting another $2000 off of.

Also, consider getting a low mileage CPO vehicle even for a 2024. You’ll be surprised how much of a discount you can get.

CX5 and X3m40 are polar opposites. X3M40 is 10 leagues above Mazda is driving, comfort, performance, speed, etc.

​@kenfrankel3498 Hi, I've got a 2017 Audi S3 Prestige with B&O sound and just got a 2024 BMW X3 M40i with the Harmon Kardon system. Though they're fairly close, I prefer the Harmon Kardon . More and deeper bass, and more power in general. The surround feature is actually quite nice in the system, which I usually don't prefer in car audio.
