I think Schumi at his peak is every bit a match for Max, but it's hard comparing drivers from different times because the cars fundamentally behave differently.

21:00 Sorry, Eddie. A sign that says "ABORTED START" is a aborted start with yellow lights blinking and all. When the race starts the lights go out ! (No lights) When your allowed to go, it's a green light. (Green) There is NO scenerio except "red" when finished, you can pass it. But you need to slow down and stop in pitlane ! A 2th Formation lap is just a FRINKING formation lap. The dude goes weaving towards a recovery vehicle ! I saw a person killed that way live on tv not a long time a ago. Safety car with less rain like now. Just a recovery vehicle and no *HALO* Halo is made because of that incident.

It wasn't him being desperate/loosing his mind, it was controlled aggression; just him fighting tooth and nail. It really baffles me folk like Eddie want to see battles, but as soon as it happens you start to moan about it. Which tells me you most likely never been into a real scrap. Sanitizing F1 already has been going on for a long time, but this naive "teeny bobbie" style of racing really makes the sport as dull as can be. Lando should have anticipated it, just like last season Perez should have anticipated what Alonso did. F1 should be the pinnacle of motor sport, where the best & real men race each other, but it's pretty much has been turned into a puppy league.

Pity Veronica mentioned the fault with Hulkenberg should have been a red flag, instead of waiting two laps. 1. Hulk’s car seemed to be able to drive, so yellow flag is the correct intial decision; 2. Her love to see Max loose seems greater tha understanding that all drivers had difficulties to drive or even overtake, while Max make it looks piece of cake. If she does not recognize the historic value of this race and does not show correct respect for Max, stop taking yourself serious to comment on F1. Stop initial seeking for wrong decicions of race control, before admitting the unique prestation as Max did. Do respect great sports moments that can be called ‘historical’.

For me Max ist without a doubt the best driver ever in terms of talent and driving skill. But for me he is not the goat.

Senna could never prove more than the time granted to him in life, then Shumi was always compared to him, and there were many fans that always remembered Senna and knew that in the back of their heads. GOAT status is seldomly discussed whilst a driver is still driving, and yet here we are. I think in a decade we will be sitting here, behind our keyboards defending the world and the moon for Max's GOAThood. My opinion though is it is all moot discussing GOAThood when you can't really compare the generations anyway. Senna may have not jived with the turbo era cars, Hamilton seems to have a hard time with the ground effect cars... It's impossible to really know.
