Baffert has paid his dues. I'm kind of glad his horse's are Derby eligible next year. Although, I did hear that since HISA testing in California that Baffert has not been as hot?

Definitely feels cold. Even his horses last year were either constantly injured or underperforming leading up to the Derby. Where has Nysos been? What happened to Muth? Pilot Commander is off the radar completely. So last year was a good year for him to be suspended. Curious to see what shakes out this year.

I live in Southen CA and I thought this decline would never happen but here we are, small fields and declining. Might as well sell Santa Anita and finally build those multi-million-dollar condos. I have other thoughts but will keep them to myself as they are unpopular with the cheerleaders.

As two guys who pick and choose where we play... we used to love Santa Anita but the product is just not as much fun as it used to be. We are Eastern/Central time zone as well so waiting a few more hours is a challenge already. Hoping to see it pick up again soon.
