this is an all wheel drive mode. when not in awd i think you get closer to the front wheel drive mpg when not in the awd mode. thanks for the video!

I'm considering this trim for the Encore GX. Doing some research on the 1.3 Turbo reliablity history since its been around long enough and its in the Chevy Trailblazer. Thanks for a thorough review of not just the car but an good intro to the AWD GX's features & vehicle controls. Agree the interior is dark. I prefer the beige since hopefully the seats can be wiped clean easy enough. Thanks again for the really good car review.

If you want to test the alarm you have to hold it for 5 seconds then hold again to shut off.

Is your Dodge Challenger AWD? AWD may have something to do with your mileage observation.

It was RWD. You're right, that is a factor.

I have been looking at a lot of new car reviews lately and I am wondering why I would buy this, instead of something like the Kia Sportage. This Buick is a really nice looking car, but there is more than looks to consider. The base MSRPs are similar enough. The Sportage is a few inches longer - and that is mostly in the back seat legroom. The Kia has more legroom in the back seat than the front. The Buick is a little bit lighter and has a smaller motor (1.3 L vs 2.5 L for the Sportage). This, in theory, should be better for MPG. However, the EPA numbers show the Kia is rated 4 MPG better. The Kia also has almost double the powertrain warranty of the Buick. I’ve had Buicks decades ago and really would like to like this car. I just can’t see why I would buy this thing. Give me a reason.
