2024 Buick Envista | Buyer's Guide to Deciding Between This or The Trax

So, you’re shopping for a small, affordable crossover. You did your research - hopefully landing on my review of the excellent Chevy Trax - and said to yourself, I don’t typically agree with Steve’s opinion but, what the heck, this time I’m taking the old man’s advice and going with this Chevy. But then you heard mumblings that Buick is selling essentially the same car but with greater curb appeal and now you’re thinking, is it worth the extra money? Well, today I’m here to sort that out.

That Buick is one of the prettiest cars on the road. I’m a car guy, and it catches my eye every time I pass one.

Buick has made this “crossover” look like a sedan in the Envista. My only wish is the Envista had an upscale engine (1.3L turbo-3 in the Chevy Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX).

I have a Copper Ice ST and I've never had a car get more attention, compliments or questions as I do with mine.

@@mandym8167 The Copper Ice will no longer be available in the ST trim in 2025. Only the Preferred and Avenir. Seems like limited amounts left in 24s.

This is a very useful video. Thanks! The cars are both solid. The Buick is a beaut, but I think I’d pocket the extra money and grab a Trax. Of course, without AWD and Super Cruise (which I know would raise the price), it’s all just a thought exercise for me.

I have the st model in ebony midnight metallic it definitely looks better than the rest and it really drives great I'm very happy with it

Been following you for many years. You deserve 10 times the amount of subscribers you have...really appreciate your no sense fair reviews. I cant help but think your honest criticisms of various cars has not always made you the popular kid at the car manufacturers table. I have stopped following many car reviewers as they are feeling more like infomercials especially when they review the cars the manufacturer has flown them ( often to some nice location)in to review...for what it's worth , i saw this Buick in the wild a few days ago and it looked even better in person.
