I own a 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ. Having owned a Cadillac STS 2009, Cadillac SRX and a 2019 Cadillac XT5, I can honestly say this is the best car that Cadillac’s ever made. It’s the first to use their new interior design, which will be upgraded for the Escalade IQ and Celestiq when they add in the sweeping panoramic entertainment display. It’s very comfortable. I have heated/ventilated/massage seats. It’s very spacious: adults can sit in the backseat comfortably as well as the front seat. Here in New York: many taxi limousine commission drivers are using them for ride shares. The car drives and handles smoothly and confidently. It’s a very quiet ride with very little wind or road noise. It’s also very good over bumps despite having 22 inch wheels on mine. There are, however, some shortcomings. First of all: if you buy one of these cars, you really ought to have home charging. Otherwise you’re going to end up having to use the EVgo network. Right now the EVgo network is a C at best. Here in New York there’s very few chargers , but once you get outside of New York, you find more. Fortunately, Tesla has opened up the supercharger network to GM cars, but some of their superchargers may not recognize the cars if they don’t show up on the Tesla app. If you’re willing to pay as you go, you can use just about any charging network and driving cross country becomes relatively easy. You’ll definitely want to have the Tesla adapter with you, however. The other downside is that the infotainment system isn’t fully thought out. This is the only entertainment system I’ve ever used that didn’t understand how to index folders when you plug-in a USB-C flash drive. I’ve kept my music collections on USB-C flash drives, and I have never encountered an in infotainment system that couldn’t recognize them even in the lowliest Cars. I’ve driven my lyric 10,000 miles averaging about 1000 miles per month. I’ve paid zero dollars in fuel obviously, zero dollars in brake changes, zero dollars and oil changes obviously and the most I’ve spent on the car is windshield washer fluid which is about three dollars per bottle. My car has only had to go to the shop once for a repair to one of the sensors and otherwise it’s been flawless. This car slots between the new Mercedes E class and the new Mercedes S class in size. The Mercedes S class is my favorite car because I’m a tall person and I enjoy technology luxury driving. The Cadillac LYRIQ is a serious attempt at reaching Mercedes level luxury. But in order to get there, Cadillac needs just a couple of finishing touches. They need to add a heated/ventilated/massage seat option to the second row. They need to add rear headrest monitors as well. It’s odd that the Cadillac CT6 had all of this and that car has been discontinued, but they didn’t see fit to put those optional features into the LYRIQ. considering what Cadillac showed us in their current Escalade: having rear headrest monitors that can be used to send navigation directions to the driver or can be used for entertainment while you are sitting at a charging station. It’s very strange that no one on the design level thought to add that to this car. I don’t see myself ever doing any cross country road trips in this car. For me: it’s just a very competent daily city driver.

I hear complaints about the air conditioning not being cold enough. Do you have any issues. They the sun comes right through the roof. Just curious. One other question if….if you were to camp in your car overnight could you run the air all night? Thanks for the video.

I would never get a electric car. There are to many recalls on those cars. They are good for the city that is ev ready but not the south in the heat and no charging stations and they dont get a lot of distnace.
