I think this is a half-size violin. She is doing so much more than just playing notes here. Her musical expression and emotion are incredible. I also have to say that so often, the piano almost drowns out the violin. In this case, they are perfectly balanced.

You are interpreting the music played by the kid, not the other way around. The kid played it the way he wanted it to sound like. Music is nothing more than a medium of expression.

The emotional depth expressed in this playing is unbelievable . I listened to several versions of this including fellow children , what they had in the technical department failed to manifest in the form of emotion like Ria’s . Simply breathtaking rendition .

The violin is a hard instrument on which to get started. This little lady already sounds professional at such a young age. Her playing was not only accurate but very sensitive and musical. There are some ¼ size violins that sound excellent. She must have one. Something I don’t see in the comments is that the sound engineer recorded this right. Makes a huge difference if the sound engineer knows what he’s doing. Looks like they used 4 Sure SM57 microphones. Unfortunately, reports say that persons that are prodigy often have a brain unbalance.

You see it in your mind, just like it is on the page. For me it was always a question of just reading through it without actually playing it. Like you were reading a poem. Each phrase leads into the next phrase so you remember the phrases and it flows from one to another. But I could see it just as if it were there.
