I feel you man. Been in a "gray" place myself. You seem really hard on yourself, but balancing a a PhD. in chemical engineering is difficult in any circumstance, and you're also making YT content, and programming a video game. I'm saying this as someone who is told I'm too hard on myself. Anyway, we all make choices, sure, and reap what we sow, but stress manifests and is reflected regardless. I've really enjoyed all your content, it helps color my day. You're quite entertaining and you're lessons/advice help me improve my Warno game. Hey Hippie! Something that really hit me was how you said you don't think you are depressed and proceeded to pretty much list a bunch of depression symptoms when you said how you are feeling. I spent years of my life struggling with my education and depression, and only in hindsight is it obvious where I was going wrong.

Listen to this man. The symptoms you describe are nearly textbook depression. There's nothing wrong with getting help if you need it. Lot's of smart people have suffered from chronic depression. Churchill used to call it his "black dog." Love your videos.

Yeah I've struggled with depression in the past and I thought this exactly. Depression can take wide proportions and make itself hard to miss, but it's not just that. Thanks for video, I was researching ideas for a annual channel updates as I prepare to do my own and found this really helpful! Thanks for being candid and transparent. We have somewhat similar stories and I recently started playing WARNO again, although I play in a very "micro-tactical style". Have a look if you have time and maybe we can play some games together. I guearntee once you finish your PHd program you are going to be so proud you got through it, and things will go back to normal :) -- and you will be on your way great a career (which will be much easier than an PHD) -- I work at an life science/chemical analsysis instrument manfactuerer if you want a refrance once your done! As someone who skipped a PHd to jump into industry out the gate, I do wish I had gone back or had done so right after my bachelor -- so just know your worst days are some ones best. Regarding the videos and the anger issue, its normal your are stressed with your PHD and its not easy for sure, don't worry about the videos and if we will like them or not just do them for fun don't reach a point were you feel committed for these videos and become a MUST thing to do like a job, other wise against your PHD it wont be priority and you wont do it, also as 10 years older I can confirm anger build up somehow with age, so its normal and due to the more stress building up in life, and more years wasted from our life without accomplishing many goals, so take it east brother and don't worry about it we will love to watch your videos in any way you are at.
