The capital market is the lifeblood of the modern economy. It both powers innovation and enables broad participation in economic growth. But rather than being celebrated, the capital market is surprisingly unpopular. In the 2024 Coase Lecture, Professor Robertson introduced attendees to the role of the capital market in society and the many ways in which it interacts with law. In doing so, she discussed common critiques of this market and the players in it.
Adriana Z. Robertson is the Donald N. Pritzker Professor of Business Law.
The 2024 Coase Lecture was presented on January 30, 2024.
