Would love to see a comparison with the CollectA Lisowicia!

The wet, black eye looks amazing and I think it is quite accurate. A scientific study (Bajdek et al) found evidence of dicynodont hair in coprolites. In addition, a separate study provided evidence of these animals being endothermic, so the presence of a light covering of hair on the back does make some sense, although the appearance of Placerias remains speculative.

Dimetrodon was already a fossil from the Permian Age rocks by the time Placerias lived 48 million years later.

Placerias is one of the my most favorite Triassic creature! For me prehistoric animal like Placerias is one of the most iconic Triassic creature 😊. Hopefully more Triassic creature figure from different company. Super awesome video, Andy 🌷🤗.

Yes I’d like to see CollectA do Lystrosaurus Scutosaurus Inostrancevia or Moschops in future

Cool! I haven't seen a Palcerias figurine in a long time! I remember seeing this guy on WWD, except it wasn't beige in color, it had a dark green color on top and beige at the bottom. It's said that Placerias is the size of a cow.

Collecta always does incredible triassic beasts. This figure would look great with a postasuchus. I really hope they do a synapsid next year and probably a scutasaurus or pristichampus.

Need it! Looking more expensive than it is.

Huh, weird that they gave it hair. Kind of a paleomeme to give that to earlier synapsids, but there's no supporting evidence for it yet. Regardless nice to finally have a decent Placerias on the market after all this years. Btw Andy, could we please get a size comparison on insta with their Lisowicia and maybe the Mattel and/or Captivz Lystrosaurus? I'd love to see how all the recent dicynodont figures size up together.

The Dimetrodon and Edaphrosaurus are Permian not Triassic.

Very true. Not sure why I said that. Apologies.

Unfortunately this model is already outdated as it looks like the one from WWD. The good thing about it is that it has some vintage vibes but unfortunately it's not up to date for a 2024 figure.
