We had a 56 Desoto when I was a kid. Loved that car!

LoL- I have "correct" year vintage, permanent plates on my Dart Swinger, Valiant V8 sedan, Travco 320 motorhome (my grandfather's old tag, RV from my uncle), and our "Putt-Putt" TC convertible. I understand your son's 'want'

My paint and body man in Austin did a 1958 Belair 4 door to 2 door shorty convertible conversion. This was back in the '90's. I've 'never seen a '57 shorty.

Hi Joe, I'm sorry my audio wasn't as clear as it should be. We use a GoPro hero 9. I have the upgraded microphone that encases the camera. Normally, the audio is pretty good with that. I will have to see if it is working properly.

Hey, that was a good video. If it wasn’t so far away I’d like to check it out Keegan still going with a big block on his truck I think that’s pretty cool I like the big blocks those kids are awesome. The knowledge that they have about cars and trucks, are you going to the swap meet in Louisville Kentucky in March it’s all indoor but anyway keep on rocking

Thanks again for the positive comments! Keegan figures that since his suburban frame is 3/4 ton we might as well put a big block in it and make it a hauler. Not bad reasoning. Unfortunately we don't go to too many swap meets outside of Texas, but every now and then we venture out of state. I will check out the one you mentioned. You never know! Thanks again for checking out another one of our adventures!

I wish I would have known about that. I need better rims for my 98 Suburban. I never know when the swap meets are and I don't live far from the fair grounds.

that place looks miserably cold,, the rust on some cars is insane, and not worth fixing with todays prices for professional help. I agree with the young fellow regarding clowns sanding nice paint to try for the so called patina look. so called PATINa is RUST in my world and im not into scruffy lookin so called "bad ass" fake looks. I see that stuff and walk on bye. The red/orange looking 57 was a good price and easy to make real nice. the early 1970,s firebird with the 455 engine advertised was a pretty good starter to build up a great classic. Unless it was modified inside or had rust underneath from Salt on roads. Steve in Australia. thanks for showing the prices and steady camera work was great.

Thanks, Steve. I'm glad you like the camera work. Sometimes, I get into the moment and have to remind myself to keep the camera steady. The weather was chilly but not too bad. Yeah, most project cars around here are usually pretty rusty.
