The problem is we don’t have all the time to reflect and understand the text :///////

Sad but true. That's one reason why it's so important to have a systematic approach. Read the question first and determine what you need to focus on in the text, because you may not have enough time to read and understand the entire text.

It's important to have a faster pace of understanding the text and answering the question if you're looking for that dream score, and this is a habit that can only be developed from one thing: practice. "One day or Day one." - The Rock

This is great! can you recommend some resources that have the hardest reading and writing questions to practice?
@ivyleaguementors7 ай бұрын
The best resources are the official ones. Here's a link to the official question bank. You can sort by question type and difficulty, so if you want to focus on hard ones, just filter by difficulty rating of 3: satsuitequestionbank.collegeboard.org/

hi just as a general question i'm taking the sat this Saturday, and Im wondering if the dsat is much harder than the bluebook questions/questions in the video - after watching through I got all of them right fairly easily, but sometimes I run out of time and rush towards the end of the practices
@ivyleaguementors25 күн бұрын
the real test shouldn't be any more difficult, but it can feel more difficult due to the pressure of it being real. and time management is definitely something you'll want to work on. one tip that might help is to save the more time consuming reading questions for last
@sarvatra5397 ай бұрын
Wonderful. Where can we find the answer key for the sample DSAT test that you provided? I solved them but want to know if they are right.
@ivyleaguementors7 ай бұрын
Are you talking about the practice test that I made? If so, the answer key is here: ivyleaguementorsprep.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/ilm-test-1-rw-module-1-answers.pdf

@@ivyleaguementors Yes. thank you. I could get to that and compare my answers. Q2 is where I need little explanation. I was debating between overlooking and marginalizing and ended up picking marginalizing which was wrong. Would you please explain this question.

i find it difficult to retain information
@ivyleaguementors5 ай бұрын
Honestly, me too! But the good thing is that you don't really need to worry about retention because the text is right there. If there is some detail in the text that you think might be important and you don't remember it, just go back to the text!

could you please circle the option in future videos because sometimes i just skip to see if i got it right but then i have to watch a little bit to hear what you say beause you dont cirlce the correct answer

Thanks for the suggestion. I will consider that in future videos.

Hello! I have a question Since I've heard that the march sat was hard, what do you predict; will the may sat be easier, even harder or the same?
@ivyleaguementors7 ай бұрын
I was actually just making a video on that topic... it should be out in a couple of weeks. But here are a few key points. Although a lot of students have complained that the March test was harder, I'm not sure it was. Students often feel that the real test is harder, but looking back at the questions after, they realize it's not. The pressure on test day can make it seem worse than it actually is. However, if the March test really was harder, the College Board probably knows, so scores would be scaled to adjust for that. (The harder the test, the more questions you can get wrong and still reach a high score). And the same will be true for May. It may be on the hard side, but that could actually be good news for you as a test taker, so I woudn't worry about it. Hope that makes you feel better

These questions are as hard as they get. If you felt they were medium, it means you are probably well prepared.
