Because a lot of us saw what people like King did 10 years to other sports marketing her grievances. If you don’t gatekeep people like that out of your smaller community they’ll subvert it to be a political group. Hill did that for ESPN. Nobody wanted it, but once it was infiltrated the politics and hot takes took control. So basically many want her out, because if they don’t they’ll be the ones unwelcomed in a few years and any criticism of King will be labeled as sexist/*ist.
