I love the way you see the world entirely thru Claire's eyes. You'll find that with Claire Bear around, simple is best. I have no children, no husband, no pets, don't even have a plant to take care of & I still can't get it together. I took four ceramic pumpkins from the garage, put them on the tv console and ta dah, Fall decorating 101 is done! LOL.

I love the reminder that it is okay to not have a Pinterest worthy, perfectly decorated home. I struggle with that when decorating but we have a small home with 3 boys- not exactly practical. And it still looks nice ❤

Don’t worry, I struggle with it too! I think with the way the world is today, we are constantly flooded with “perfect” on social media. It’s exhausting and not realistic, as you said with kids! I commend you for having three boys. Moms are never given enough credit 💛

I'm in the use what I got mood too. I have a stash of both Halloween and Christmas stuff plus crafting supplies (Mod Podge, glue, glitter, ribbon, paint etc. etc. etc...) So other than foraging in the countryside for dried stuff and evergreens (I can toss at end of season) I'm good to go. I also had a red corduroy jacket I've been remaking into Christmas objects. I loved it but couldn't wear it any more so now it's keepsakes. 😊

Hi Genevieve I like what you did. I like to keep some of my regular things out and add with in the holiday. I seen the video for Claires birthday it was awesome. Claire looked so happy. Shes a blessed little girl to have to caring and loving parents. I fell 13 weeks ago and broke my humerus bone and was trying to let it heal on it's own but it moved some and isnt healing anymore so I get a operation now on the 15th. I think it is okay to use decor from year to year if you love it! If you are like me, I never usually put my decor in the same place from year to year, lol. I am a maximalist supreme, and also maybe ADD, so decor is never in the same place...

Hello Gf! I'd rather our what I already have, i like a new piece here & there, but i don't make it a point to do any specific shopping. If I'm out & see something 8 really like i may pick it up. But I really don't do much decorating for holidays or seasons except Christmas. I do like to add pieces into my everyday decor for spring/easter and fall/thanksgiving. Christmas is when I really decorate & just always but just a few new things each year to add to what i have. All the spaces turned out super cute! You could also use that adorable DIY print on the mantle between the 2 pumpkins.. just a thought 🤷‍♀️ Or hang the pumpkin lights on the bathroom shelves also, that'll attract the eye to the picture, its to cute to not be seen! You could also hang the pumpkin lights somewhere in Claires room. Honestly I think is very pretty! Even though I'm a maximilist, when it comes to seasonal & holiday decor i just don't do it.. except Christmas like said before. They a start running into each other, before you get your entire home done its time to take it down & start on the next one! Just spending a couple hours sprinkling really pretty & social pieces in gives you time to enjoy & it looks nice!😉 I enjoyed & thanks for sharing! Hope you have A blessed week!😊

I always reuse my decor year after year. I think it would be wasteful and too expensive to buy new decor every year. I like my stuff so why change it? I will add a few things if I find something I like while thrifting
