I’m using win xp 32bit 2.4ghz. 4gb ram Direct x said missing plug and play. I uncheck functions in direct x menu (dxdiag) And checked them again. And it worked. For graphics with older game change setting in nvidia control panel. Do not change graphics by right clicking on desktop. I’m assuming that’s for internal graphics. So only do that method if you have no graphics card.

Hi just to say I had the same problem but none of the steps you showed were working but then i searched a lot. I found out this error also happens if you have 64 bit dll files in your syswow64 or you if you have 32 bit dll file in your system32 folder. Then I deleted all the those files and installed it successfully..

I tried it but still doesn't work. I really need help because my job is at risk with this. It kept saying Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your windows. Every time that I try to install it, directX it pops up. Even on DXDIAG (windows 11 Pro btw) directx is disabled.
