I love my black appearance package on my 2024 Maverick Lariat hybird. Love the sound system in it it’s quieter than the XLT model and even the ride is much better . Ford seems to have put in much more sound deadening components and it has made the ride much better over all

@the-best-truck-content wouldn't say much about the lower versions. Lariat is decent. Still hard stuff like the dash, but they made it attractive for what it is. However, seats are great, again, Lariat only.

Error alert, the 2.0 turbo is not naturally aspirated, the 2.5 is. Actually, from a distance, I often mistake a new approaching F150 for a Maverick, so the styling is great in my opinion.

I finally got a 2023 Maverick Hybrid XLT recently and absolutely love it. It's the first truck I've ever owned and more than likely will be the only truck I will own. Having it as a hybrid is perfect because I'm all about fuel efficiency. I don't do big amounts of hauling so it's practical. And the body style is simple compared to the atrocity that is the Santa Cruz.

Many people want a car like driving style and a smaller stature….but still do some truck duties….not everyone wants a full size truck that may be hard for them to get in and out or sit higher making it difficult to use the truck bed..

The only con that I agree with is the availability. The styling is spot on the handling and The ride are awesome. I’m getting 38 miles to the gallon that split between city and highway super comfortable quiet I don’t agree with you.

I think it depends on where you live. Here in Delmarva I see many more Santa Cruz than Mavericks for the homeowner. Most of the Mavericks I see are Fleet vehicles . Looking like pest control or auto parts delivery vehicles

I have an order in to Ford for a 2024 Maverick. When the July order banks opened, I made sure my local dealership knew I was interested. I chose the 2.0 liter engine due to the fact of the 4k towing. I recently saw a video for the 2024 Maverick with updated suspension which will increase towing to 4500 pounds. I have been notified of a production date. Oct. 31st. Unfortunately it is now been moved to Nov. 13th. 2023. Still looking forward to getting it.

@reserva120 I saw a utube video that was posted on August 29th, 2023 by Clean Tech. It compares the 2024 Maverick to the 2023. In that video it mentions a suspension change to allow a smoother ride and allows up to 4500# towing.

I like my XLT hybrid which took 13 months. I wanted a Lariat hybrid, but it was not available to order in Canada so I had to settle for an XLT. I have since ordered the Lariat, as I wanted some features that are only available on this trim. I like the styling - it is honest and simple. I welcome competition from others - conventional pickups are just too damn big (I had a 2019 F150 Lariat). I don't wish to wait any longer for other manufacturers to offer more choice. The perfect Maverick for me would include a plug in for the hybrid and maybe all wheel drive but even though I live in a snowy environment, I survived without it and just stay the hell off the road when conditions might warrant that capability. During snowfalls, I see LOTS of 4WD vehicles off the road and completely stuck - common sense is a far better thing to have.

I always laugh at people who "need" 4 wheel drive. I've driven 2 wheel drives through jungles and desert. A front wheel drive small car in lots of cold and snow. You just have to know how to drive. Trusting your car to compensate for your bad driving will only get you into a lot of trouble.

I thought at first my Maverick brakes were grabbing but it's the 8 speed transmission downshifting at slower speeds. In tow haul mode it is more noticeable. It's a great feature for a truck that has a load on or is towing.

The biggest con for me is not being available in a 2 door/long bed option. Some of us don't need the 4 doors, but do need the longer bed. Even a cab and a half (super cab) with a medium length box would be an improvement.

Crew cabs sell more units these days by a significant margin. They also probably want to keep capability relatively limited to avoid cutting into sales of more expensive rangers.

Out of the 4 down sides only one was really that's reliable part with air bags the design is why Ford Maverick out sales the Santa Cruz 3 to 1. The hybrid was the top pick before just because of price. Side by side if both where the same price I think it would have pretty even sales. The Eco was my choice and don't regret buying it in any way

It definitely has. I busted out laughing when he compared the body styles of the Maverick and the Santa Cruz. The Santa Cruz total sales in the US and Canada for both 2021 and 2022 were 47,452 units. The Maverick's sales in the US for 2022 alone were 74,370.

Many do not want a hybrid. It needs to be an option but not standard. And to charge more for a ICE without the complicated electrics would turn people off also. I think many would not buy the maverick if the stock plant was a hybrid. IMO.

DON'T WORRY, THEY CAN'T MAKE THE HYBRID FAST ENOUGH. FURTHER, LOTS OF PEEPS WILL PAY MORE FOR THE HYBRID TO GET THE MILEAGE. UNLESS YOU HAUL, TOW OR LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE 4X4 A MUST, NO POINT TO THE 2.0

Maverick looks like a truck I hate the 2025 front end look on the Maverick. The 2024 Maverick problems in the truck have all been addressed ..I have had a 2023 XLT Hybird with some of these problems but nothing other than just software updates to fix them. I put 70,000 km in 16 mths and wanted a Lariat Hybird. Have hate 0 problems to date . Even get better highway mileage . Getting 6.3 liters per 100 Km and with my 2023 XLT driving same route go 6.7 liters per 100 km I love this truck . The price here in Canada is a little high but our money is 35% less than US dollar.

"Retro Futurism?" Makes as much sense and sounds like a "Limited Lifetime Warranty." Or calling a 20 year sentence a life sentence. Not offering a small cab 6' bed option is a huge miss/con. If any vehicle has the word "small" in it's name, Small Truck, why have the same amount of seating that vehicles not called small have? Just call them small bed trucks.

While I agree the use of the term "retro futurism" is misapplied here.The term was really coined back in the early 2000s with vehicles like the New Beetle, Ford Thunderbird, Ford GT, 05-14 Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, etc. Where vehicles take styling cues from the past and modernize them. The only retro futuristic thing about the Maverick is it's name. Though honestly you're complaint seems more with lexicon than anything else. Also, the Maverick is a unibody construction, much like a Ford Mustang only get one design. For those looking for modular cab choices, you'll need to go for a true "body on frame" (BOF) design like the Ford Ranger, which does offer a small cab 6' bed. The Maverick is positioned for people who need more utility than a sedan but don't need or want the downsides of a BOF truck (i.e. poor ride quality, poorer fuel mileage, heavier construction, etc.).

A little known fact is that Ford was the first company in the history of mankind to be charged with murder (due to choosing not to fix the Ford Pinto because it was cheaper to pay off victims). Perhaps you prefer the times of snake oil salesmen, and robber barons would literally steal money. I, for one, believe a company can just do good honest business.

I have priced and ordered a 2024 Tremor XLT. It has remote start, moonroof, ford co-pilot 360, trailer tow, and an actual 4wd system, 400w inverter and the 2.0 ecoboost. MSRP is $38,190. I think that's a good price for what you get. I already have an F150 platinum, but the Mav will be a daily driver.

They use the ICE to charge the HV battery going UP hills, which reduces the amount of Regen going DOWN those hills since the HV battery is near full from the charge (via the ICE) going up. This hurts the MPG substainstably. I own 2 of them, a 2022, and a 2023, both did this. Idiotic.

I got my 2023 Lariat Maverick 2 months ago. I pretty much love everything about it Especially the gas mileage. One thing I don't like is it is hard to get in out of because of the way the floorboard is about 3-inches lower than the threshhold. I have a bad knee and I have a hard time getting my big foot over it. Minor inconvenience.

I have a maverick hybrid and love its bang for the buck, I believe that the4x4 without the hybrid is a waste and a 150 or 1500 are better range for mileage towing or just comfort for the price

a game changer for Ford? they advertised it as selling at $20 or $25,000. you cant get one for that price. i wanted one but couldnt find for under $25,000. so i gave up on it. Ford is concentrating on selling their F150s. they couldnt care less about the Maverick. they dont make enough money on it. and its made in Mexico. theres so few around. i only saw one on one lot and it was $35,000. Ford has a game changer? they can keep it since they dont want to sell me one.

LOVE IT!!, Thow lower gas milage. it has rear window defroster, much better drive, and after driving both, a much better truck. I waited 15 months for my Maverick to come in. When I went to take delivery they let me test drive it first. Boy was that their mistake. It rides like Radio Flyer wagon and the interior is cheap cloth and plastic. The next day I bought a 23 Santa Cruz and haven't regretted it. Better ride, more on board tech, larger payload capacity and far better towing power.

The standard Infotainment system is so bad it should never been allowed, even in a "cheap" truck. I could not stand it. I like Sirius radio too and you can't get it in anything other than the highest level trim. The truck bed is so small its basically useless for anything you want to do with a truck. It isn't really a truck, its an SUV with a tiny bed. Other than that it was a good truck. I had an AWD Eccoboost.
