i didnt particularly like the way this new body looked at first, same with the S550 but it once again has grown on me, this time it was much faster. The new Spec 2 is actaully beautiful looking. with the styling, to the body lines, and all of it brought together by the weels... its just amazing looking!

I was expecting to see way more comments like this! I find it very sus that Vaughn said this. Sounds like he’s not allowed to say anything bad too me. Not an honest review. I doubt a driver like him would compliment the steering of this car given what other reviewers have said.

I'll repost what I said below to someone: There is zero discussion whether or not it is better then s550 and other previous Gen mustangs with the electric rack. It is better. I can understand that Guys that do reviews on cars would like more feel based on them feeling other cars often , but if you did not have the preconceived opinion from previous Gen, I feel 99% of people will be very happy with the changes that are in this car.

6:35 That is pretty damn cool having the progressive brake pressure, with this handbrake. 😯 0:14 8:48 Andd damn this car looks sweet. The looks definitely grew on me. First I seen the 2024 Mustang Dark Horse, and I didn't like the rear too much. The sharp dent half way through the trunk / tail lights looked odd, especially with the wing selection on that one. It stands out so much, it's like there's too much going on. But with this RTR Spec 2, the flat lip spoiler helps the bodyline a lott more. Looks great here! Would love to drive one of these one day. 🙂 The wide screen digital dash looks superr neat. This Stang seems like a great place to be. Great work all around Ford, RTR, Billy Johnson, and Vaughn! 😎

One day I’ll be able to afford to order an RTR Spec 5, but might be the 2035 mustang lol.. if they still exist in combustion form by then.. hopefully you can keep Ford from going full electric cause I can’t really enjoy an electric car personally. Vaughn do you know if anyone will be able to do aftermarket tuning on the platform outside of the companies with Fords blessings like Roush and Whipple? For instance with third party software like HPTuners. Keeping my hopes up as I’ve heard the ECU uses a similar architecture to the 21+ F150 which recently became tunable

I love basically everything about the S650 and I'm looking at buying one as my first mustang, but I'm super confused about the steering. Quite a few reviewers that mention it (including Matt Farah from the Smoking Tire and Thomas from Throttle House) say it is sharp and precise but has basically zero feel. Thomas said that the steering lacks so much feel that he lacks confidence at corner entry. Yet here Vaughn says it has heaps more feel than the last gen. Not sure what to think. Good steering is one of the most important factors for me in a fun sports car.

When the 2024 Mustang got revealed I was not happy about the huge screen on the dashboard an I think the S550 has the best interior design still. But on the outside... This is an absolute beauty of a car. Love it. Those RTR parts, the grill, the rims are just soo good looking, I don't even care about the interior at all.

Idk. That dash being a retro feel to the foxbody dash. It has real potential to have customer screen layouts to make you feel in a old retro muscle car also.

​@choco_king I don't know if you heard but a lot of people who have gotten hands on experience with it have said that the screens while might be controversial have also been pretty easy to adapt to as they don't get in the way of driving or even get glare from the sun, they also have great clarity so it makes it very easy to see everything on the dash and it's very intuitive, while it is nice there are no hard buttons, but most have said that this just might be a thing thy would get used to overtime. From the sounds of it the screen isn't too bad if you don't mind it being a screen

It’s funny, I’ve watched a couple other review videos of the new Mustang and they all talk about how there’s still a numbness and no connection to the driver through the steering.

I’ve heard that, and I find it odd . Because It is so much different then previous. I think what most of them are trying to say is that they want a heavier wheel, a heavier feel. Not a more responsive steering. Could it be better, always can get better. BUT for me it was the first thing I noticed and I am happy with it!

Hey Vaughn, I have a 2014 GT with eibach pro kit springs and strange 10 way single adjustable struts and shocks. This thing beats the crap out of me. Any recommendations to get a smoother ride? Wanting to keep it lowered and don't want to fork out the money for coilovers.

Does it beat you when you have them full soft? Are you bottoming out? If the answer is yes to those I would check to make sure you have the right springs. RTR coilovers for that car are not so expensive and they are game changers.

@@VaughnGittinJr they are set on the softest setting and I don't think they are bottoming out. Unfortunately coilovers aren't currently in my budget. Was thinking about maybe swapping to the koni special active struts but I haven't been able to find much for reviews for them on 11-14 cars

A refresh/remixed face lift doesn't make it "all new" Does it look better, absolutely. Wicked looks aside, the whole marketing buzzword of "All New" or "all-new for (insert year)" has to stop.. Yeah call me a boomer, salty or whatever. It kinda numbs you to REALLY expecting new. Especially withall the hype behind the reveal. Dual throttle bodies and new panels and MOAR screeeeeeennnnnnnsssss. wonder what's interchangeable between this and the S550 for the RTR kits.

A mustang (as cool as they are) is NOT tactical. Nor is the suspension. It's not made for assaulting or warfare. I'm just saying, it's a car.... for the street... or some track use. But tactical? Parking brake drift is for people who don't know how to use right foot!😂 Hand parking brake is superior due to pressure modulation, what every brake must have.
