I bought an S650 back in November of 23’ and I love it! I did also get the performance package too. The only difference is mine was silver and instead of active exhaust mine came with the recaro seats! Other than that same car haha I love my mustang!!!

I bought one yesterday and I have to say every video I’ve watched has some negative comment about the screens… I don’t get it! I think they are absolutely awesome especially given the fact you can change the cluster. I’ve always been a Mustang guy and this year is an absolute jewel, and 100% a collectors dream

Congratulations! I don’t think there is anything bad about the screens themselves, the functionality as you said is cool. Personally i don’t like big screens as they take away from the car and I’m always worried about longevity of proprietary screens.

There is a little issue with the screen taking awhile to load sometimes after starting the car. Some people also don’t like that there is no climate control off the screen. And some people just don’t like screens in general.

2018 GT Premium w/PP1, MagnaRide, active valve exhaust, 6 speed, 60,000+ miles. Stone cold love the car. I run the Continental EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 PLUS tires. It has been a near perfect road trip car for two. It’s a daily driver. Real world, North Texas congested traffic 14 - 16 MPG. With cruise control set at 72 MPH, highway 30+ MPG. Several trips from Dallas, Texas to north Jersey and back right around 30 MPG. The car puts a great big smile on my face every time I drive it. As for the new S650; a) I do like the front end more than my 2018, b) the iPad dash 🤮. Happy motoring 🇺🇸🤠

Is yours a 10 speed? I’ve never wanted an auto mustang but now I’m kinda learning towards the 10R80 now and I’m wondering if the gear holds until you slap the paddle or does it shift for you anyway

@@mitchellmoise8896 do you have any issues with lockout like shifting at 6800 or something I keep seeing that these MT82 trans lock you out if you try to shift fast or aggressively but with normal casual drive it shifts fine.

I had a s550 premium performance pack with 3.73 gear. The gearing was annoyingly short. Constantly rowing through the gears just to get to 40 mph

I was thinking about the C8 corvette. Quite frankly, I can't stomache the automatic in it and it comes with that old push rod LS dog crap motor unless you shell out the 150 k for the Z06. I bought a fully loaded murdered out MT Mustang GT Premium and I love it. I had to do some soul searching with buying a heavy car, but the sound of that coyote and the fact that it is a whipple away from over 800 bhp with a 6 speed made it an easy choice for me. I love the car and can't wait to get the whipple and some sticky 305s on the back. Ford owns the game right now.

The problem with the MT-82 is no one buys the manual to putt around in and drive softly 100% of the time- thats what auto's are for. Manual drivers are almost exclusively driving enthusiasts, so including a manual that doesn't cater to enthusiast driving experiences they might as well not offered it at all, or at least made the Tremec an upgrade option for PP.

I ordered the dark horse if you load up a mustang GT with a performance package and Ricardo and everything else it’s about 63 to 64 the dark horse if you load it up without the handling packages about 69 you getting the you’re getting more horsepower you getting different front rotors you’re getting different cooling elements. You’re getting a car that is produced in a lot lower numbers which helps the use residual so you’re gonna get that $6000 back easily. It’s a no-brainer.

Sold my 2006 Mustang, loved it, nothing wrong with it, just 100,000 plus miles and time to move on. It was a fair weather car so at 18 years it was still in amazing shape. So why sell it, to get a new one. Not sure if it will be a year 2024 or just order a 2025. I liked the retro look of the 2006 when it came out in 2005, now I really like the new 2024 look and technology. I also prefer a manual trans but a lot of people say go with the auto. Maybe a Dark Horse is in my future.

While it’s true there is a lot of plastic…that shouldn’t be a deterrent. One reason I am avoiding a new Mercedes Benz is because the new interiors - including for the AMGs - are unbelievably cheap and plasticky. MB’s quality has fallen off a cliff in the last couple of years. I’m trading in my 2017 MB CLA 250 Sport for a shiny new Mustang GT. 👌

@@jalopy_jeff Good good. I'd be nervous driving mine here in Florida with all the surprise sinkholes we get with those expensive tires. The P Zero's are fine for me. What I really worry about is the infotainment system overheating during the summer.

Great car, but there is just something wrong with the fact that you need to make six figures to afford a base Mustang GT. In 1988 the Mustang GT was $12750 MSRP. Adjusted for inflation it would be $33k today. The average US worker could easily afford a Mustang GT back in the day. Obviously this new Mustang is way more car, but I hate that everything seems to be priced for top earners these days.
