Beautiful garden. Love volunteer plants. Very envious of the size of your garden. I have a lot of stuff growing in a few raised beds. Every year I add more beds. Gardens are always evolving.

Make homemade pesto, it's so easy and uses all that basil up. Love your garden Becca!

Fun garden, Becca! So many different volunteers growing! Cute! 🥰 Don't worry: once your child becomes more and more independent and starts going to school, you'll have more and more free time. ☺

I love your realistic garden video, I love growing vegetables and have worked at a plant nursery for 2 years and have learned a lot. Not every plant is going to be successful, but its a part of the journey. Fun tip: There are so many varieties of aphids! They are born pregnant with 2 generations so that's why they take over, when you see ants on the same plant as aphids it's bc ants farm aphids for the sap the secrete.

That allium should self seed…at least mine did…Everywhere! 😂I had aphids covering my honeysuckle so I cut it off and no more aphids 🎉

Fungus is a good thing! The white you are seeing is mycelium - basically a network of fungus within the soil that promotes decomposition of organic material and provides nutrients to the roots. It is a sign that you have very healthy soil. As long as you are able to get water deep into the soil and it's not become hydrophobic, I wouldn't worry about it! It looks super healthy!! No-till gardening has been scientifically proven to be one of the most healthy and sustainable ways of growing plants.

The white stuff in the soil is most likely mycelium. Means you got good fungal activity in the soil. Shouldn’t be bad and the mushrooms in fall might be edible. Hope that helps :)

also you usually pinch cosmos so they become more bushy. Aphids are farmed but ants, so it could definitively be ants with the aphids on there

Yes, 100% that’s mycelium and that’s a great thing to find in your garden! Generally found when there’s more wood material and enough moisture content. Definitely a positive sign of soil health
