Why does tasteless hate zerg? They're clearly NOT dominant and haven't been for a looooonnnng time. Terrans have taken more trophies than zergs in the past 8 years. Every balance patch contains yet another zerg nerf. Zergs aren't dominant at all. It's a beautiful race and without it the game is boring and stale.

@georgvonrechenberg2217 Not GSL. I think you're just referring to the appearance of Serral & Raynor. ESL and online tourneys are just a rotation of 3-4 players. There's no variety anywhere but in GSL & I'm not sure that's a great metric neither. Serral and Raynor are a poor metric since they don't compete in Global Starcraft League & only compete vs a small number of players.

@@DonnieIsNotAmerican Yes, I considered every premier tournament. But GSL doesn't have that much more variety in their top players. Taking Serral and Reynor out of the equation of non-GSL tourneys is like taking Maru out of the equation of GSL. If you compare you have to compare things that are real not things that might be if things were different. Also for hard statistics: Code S champions since 2018: 10 times Terran 7 times Zerg 1 times Protoss. So, yes - terran won most GSLs in the last few years but 10:7 is hardly utter domination. In fact in 2021/22/23 it's really quite balanced between zerg and terran. The real story here is that protoss is incredibly unfavored to win big tournaments. Funnily, if one checks overall tournament statistics, Protoss is insanely dominant in lower tier tournaments.

@georgvonrechenberg2217 ESL simply doesn't have a competitive Protoss player. Maxpax is AI yes? Not sure that qualifies. Humans only. I would hope we can agree on that factor. Yes the literally the entirety of LOTV has left Protoss out of the running. Bare in mind all the best(toss) players did their military service which will affect their performances. Z v T still favors Terran as it always has since WoL. Maybe briefly when Serral was peaking and I think the brood range nerf was solely because of him. No one else could play it like Serral. If we were all Protoss pros it would be easier to put a gage on wether there's a fair chance for them or not but there's a good chance this season with 2 of them in the running 👍 GSL has a lot more history than just 2018- . It's worth mentioning that Terrans were still taking trophies long before maru came into his own. The 1st actual trophy went to mvp. You'll find multiple Protoss Champs during the protoss deathball era(late HOTS?). Good stats BTW. I can see you love GSL too. ❤️
