This car was suffering from a dangerous increase in temperature in the summer, but the company solved the problem and the car proved to be good, but it does not compare to other pickup cars in terms of endurance. The disadvantages of the car currently are its increased fuel consumption despite the small size of the engine, and the engine’s poor performance compared to competitors.

I am not sure about the lag caco is talking about. This thing beat the 2.4L 4x4 strada on a drag race. The sports mode is very snappy small throttle input and you'll jerk forward like the power mode of the hilux. Ranger,hilux,navara owners who have test driven it have been impressed how fast this thing is considering it's only 2.0. so i really dont know about the lag he is talking about. Perhaps we can settle this with a drag race.

This makes me believe that these "reviews" are biased, or maybe influenced by the major manufactureers. Maybe they are TOLD (ordered) not to say how great the Chinese trucks are because more people will buy them instead of the overpriced brand names. I know that I was told not to buy the Maxus that I wanted by the dealership that, of course also sold Nissan.

@chronicle_46 ай бұрын
Test drove this last yr on the 4x4 expo. It is sure capable and it actually comfortable compared to the competitors. Interior space is also superb. The big turn off on this is the shifter which is too posh for a truck. Can we have just the basic PRND2L format? 8 speed ZF is also problematic per google. The engine is 2.0 only compared to it's massive size. It relies too much on the turbo to compensate. Noticed this when I test drove it. Turbo programming is way too spikey. Also, the hood is way too long and seating position sucks as you cant see what's in front of you.
@eternalrage10855 ай бұрын
Not true. You make it sound like you know a lot about cars but clearly you dont. The transmission is ZF 8HP wiki it up. Its been around since 2009 and has been used by the biggest names in the car industry including the Rolls royce phantom. You can also see a drag race between the 2.4L strada 4x4 and this cannon in youtube were the cannon clearly won. All my test drives and i mean all of them have been left in awe at the power of this thing specially in its sport mode. And these are ranger,navara,strada,hilux owners mind you. And then your issue you cant see the front..You're kidding right? This thing has the clearest most HD 360 camera in a car right now and the guidelines are so accurate. You sir have been so used to driving very low tech japanese units that you can't seem to make yourself use the visual aids this pickup is providing you. Old habits die hard. Decades of japanese car monopoly and brainwashing is hard to come out off huh?

@eternalrage10855 ай бұрын
@@chronicle_4 you're right i have a ton of animosity. But that's because of the prejudice Filipinos have against the Chinese. And you know what's so ironic about it? It's that I don't see many Filipino-Japanese in this country just a million other Filipino-Chinese citizens. We might as well be a colony of PRC with how much chinese blood we have in this country. But NO Filipinos love the Japanese even when they clearly suffered in their hands during the war. That is just dumbfounding. But Japanese-Loving mindset aside, the chinese cars have come along way. Many of the Japanese car brands have really thin chassis. GWM cars don't. In fact all GWM units have 5 ⭐ancap rating. While others would rather avoid the topic of any safety rating achievements.

@eternalrage10855 ай бұрын
True but you obviously have not test driven this cannon if you agree with caco. I believe caco thru all the cars his driven have developed a very high standard for ride comfort. Pickups have never been known for ride comfort. Well the navara is.. BUT the navara can't carry a ton of payload. If you think of the hilux well it's the king of tagtag. The cannon isn't anywhere near that. I would place It's ride comfort in the middle of a hilux and a navara. A navara owner client even said he could not tell the difference. So i would suggest you stop taking somebody else's words as your own that easily and try to see for yourself. You'd be surprised.

Lumang thinking na yan. Chinese cars (and other products) are improving. Comparable if not better than other established brands pa nga eh. If may downside lang ang Chinese brands, eto yung pagsupport sa govt nila lol
@dickmelsonlupot76974 ай бұрын
that's an outdated viewpoint of Chinese cars. They have improved significantly throughout the years and currently they are actually pretty great. Sure, they don't have the reputation as the Jap or American brands yet but they aren't far behind nor should they be ridiculed for their efforts since they're actually doing far better than you think and even far better than what we Pinoys can create on our own. As for the reason why they're cheaper than the competition... asides from just basic competition and as a good way to undercut the competition, it is also because Chinese cars don't have to do extra shhhttt and work on their cars to fit our market. Basically speaking, what we get here is practically the same as what you'd get in China itself since they don't need extra factories or need a conversion sector to make an opposite car for another market that their cars don't normally sell like in the case of ASEAN made cars (usually those made in Thailand, Indonesia, India or Malaysia) where they're normally RHD (Right Hand Drive) but to sell to us LHD (Left Hand Drive) nations, they need to spend more on a separate factory or conversion sector of their main factory in order to make LHD cars hence why when bought by our local dealers, they're already way more expensive than they should be. Hence why to prevent being too expensive, local dealers/importers here import versions that are under-spec'd, bare bones or entirely different as opposed to what you'd find being sold in mainland South East Asia like Thailand. Asides from that, there's also basic greed. One of the biggest sinners of this is Toyota since they have basically managed to brainwash the vast majority of this country hence why they have, for decades, managed to overprice their cr@pppy vehicles that are so bare bones and laughably under-spec'd yet Pinoys will still eat them up and buy them in the droves just because "mUh tOwYoTuH" What's even funnier is that to sell cheaper cars, Toyota had to tap their cheaper sibling (i.e. Daihatsu) and just rebrand shhttt Daihatsus here as Toyotas. And Pinoys still blindly buy them up as well. What's also pretty ironic with the Chinese pricing is that unlike ASEAN made cars, Chinese made cars & imports need to pay taxes and/or tarrifs. Whereas the ASEAN ones enjoy 0% tax due to us being part of ASEAN.
