Best review ever 👌, I owen a 2023 Fat ,no complaints so far , I do have a lot of riding experience, most of the reviews on the newer Fat Boys are all BS ,this ride is very solid, you feel very secure and safe on the bike, the turns are no problem ,unless you are intimidated by the false reviews, handles better then any bike I have owned , just an owners opinion, ride on !!!!

Thanks Dan! Agree, the turns get easier once you get used to the handling.

The Fat Boy is a dream to ride! It’s the best Softail. It’s iconic and one of the last cool bikes Harley is still producing. After getting rid of the Deluxe, the Slim, the Fat Bob, I really hope Harley keeps the Fat Boy. It’s really annoying to see HD producing these modernized bikes and loosing the classics. Why not do both right? Til this day, I don’t understand why the Road King standard was cancelled. Here in Southern California, the Road King is boss! Most people ride viclas out here. I love the new road glide and street glide but I’m not too happy about the digital gauges. I like the analog look. HD needs to find a way to keep the classics going and still spit out more modern models. There should be choices.

It is a great bike and very iconic (Terminator). However the Low Rider looks very similar only with a 180 rear, so handles better and is very stable in a straight line. Just so happens to be the bike I own! Great review. Thanks.

I own the low rider s, agreed it handles better than the fatboy :)

What do you prefer overall between the Fatboy and the LowriderS? Thinking of my first Harley, I absolutely love the look of the Fatboy, but the corner etc with the fat tire does concern me. I feel like the LowriderS is a more practical and sensible fit for me, but I am just drawn to the Fatboy. Would love your opinion…

I agree I think the lrs is more practical if it’s your first Harley.

Great review! Any idea what size windsplitter on that Fat Boy? Looks like a 15 inch? How was the wind buffeting?
@IronBornRider8 ай бұрын
Thanks! I think it was a 15 inch, was really helpful when I got it up to 50-60mph with no buffeting

What helmet are you wearing during your ride? Your sound is excellent. Your POV is also really good. Where is you camera mounted and what camera do you use?
@IronBornRider8 ай бұрын
Thanks! I’m using a ILM 502 helmet for motovlogging with a dji action 4 camera. The audio has been much better vs my GoPro 8. I just have it mounted right near the mouth vents and it sits below my nose level. Your miles may vary

good review , so many people go on about touring , anything inc my van can tour , ;; this is a cruiser - it cruises , looks good ,- job done ... if you want to fly buy a plane , if you want to corner buy a lightweight bike , if your in a hurry - leave earlier , i don't see the point of buying a naked bike and then moaning that it doesn't have bags , intercom , fairing , screen sidecar , trailer , e.t.c. , yes - some [or most ] riders have one bike and they use it for everything , so get some throwovers when you need them ; this is a pleasure cruiser ;;

@@simongilbert2704 yeah I get the sense that when Harley came out with this they intended it for someone who just wanted to cruise around town in style. 😎 mission accomplished

The Fat boy was one of my all time favorites, but I'm sure I would get Hey we got a Fat boy on a Fat boy. I do like the M8 114 it seems to have everything that I need, I only put slip on pipes on my 2022 tri/glide, with no plans of doing anything else. I do wish that HD would give us a seat, that would be in it for the long haul. I had a few seats from Ultimate, that I really liked, and fit me just fine.... good review,,,, btim sw pa

Yeah for the amount of money we spend on these bikes, a premium seat would be fantastic

Great review 👍I’ve just bought one 3 days ago and so far agree with everything you said here I have a Supermoto for the twisty stuff I think you would be foolish to buy a fat boy for a twisty road blaster at 330 kg I don’t think that was in mind when building it but for the type of riding you did in your vid it is perfect I bought mine for long runs from the middle of England to north of Scotland and can’t wait for better weather to do that 🙏 all the best from Uk 🫡🇬🇧

I appreciate the positive feedback, thank you! I’ve been thinking about getting a fatboy for so long but I already have 3 bikes in my garage. One day I’ll be on a fatboy, it’s such a cool bike. Enjoy!

Thanks for the review. I've also just seen your 2024 Breakout review and wonder which of the two you would now buy for yourself if you were to buy one of them, and why?
@IronBornRider9 ай бұрын
I would choose the fatboy, I prefer the look and it fits me a bit better. The breakout is a lot of fun to ride as well with the 117, but the fatboy gets my vote.

At this point, you should be able to buy a HD without a Seat, Handlebars, grips, footpegs or exhaust. Nobody wants that stock crap and it would knock thousands off the bill.
