I'm not a tech guy at all, but I adjusted to the new system fairly quickly. I don't mind the volume on the right side, but my other bikes are a Highway King and 114 Heritage, so I'm not used to the volume being on the left. Nice review on your new bike.

Alot of good talking points. I've had my 24 Roadglide for 3100ish miles and 100% agree the windshield and seat were some of the first items to change. I went with a freedom 10" shield and splurged with the Badboyz Cyclez combo, and wow what a difference. Recently added 11" bars, heated grips and floorboard spacers and the comfort is almost perfect. Bike has a ton of power and more than enough for me logging miles on trips or around town.

This has been an excellent list of reasons to buy an Indian and keep my old late 90's and early 2000s Harley-Davidsons. All the controls for the engine and radio are laid out the way you said you'd prefer them on my Indian Pursuit, but I'm not a tech guy or a stereo guy, so I greatly appreciate the simplicity of my 97 Electraglide Standard and my 2002 Road King.

Like everyone else, you will replace the suspension with Ohlins or Legends within a year. The bike is new, and the suspension always feels good until you put some miles on it.
@alexquevedo831Ай бұрын
The new bike out the box ride great no need to change them I have 2600 miles on mine. I’m coming from CBRs and GsXRs these bikes are not your old harley no more
@HDR20Ай бұрын
@@alexquevedo831 Yeah, like I said, they always are great out of the box. Every couple of years, HD changes the suspension, and consumers rave about how great it is. Then, after a year or so, they change the suspension or ask for opinions on which is better. I haven't ridden a sports bike since the early 90s so I couldn't say anything about those but been riding Harleys since 94 and believe me, it's the same every year. Same ol HD smh

I rode the stock suspension for 50k on my 2016 before I upgrade, that doesn’t mean I won’t upgrade if I get an opportunity to review a potentially better product but at the moment upgrading suspension is not on my horizon.

Great video Mike. I'm feeling a lot of the same issues with my '24 Road Glide. I'd love to see you do a demo of the procedure you discussed about turning the motor off but not killing the audio system. I thought doing that would leave the headlight on. Am I mistaken. Might make for a good short. Keep up the good work.

Great video Mike. I have this exact bike in the same color. I agree with all that you have said. I put the 8 inch wind splitter on within the first week of having the bike and it made all the difference in the world. Also I hate the audio controls on the right side. When I do my bar change I'm going to try to figure out a way to move them to the left side. Not sure if I'll be able to do it but I'm going to try. I put 4 inch tab performance pipes on with the zombie baffles and I don't find it to be to loud. I love the sound and absolutely love the bike. I will start making more changes once winter sets in and I can't ride anymore. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work.

Hey Man Mountain Mike, so…are you going to stick with the factory suspension or upgrade to something else and if so, what? I’m telling ya, I love my Fox suspension on my RKS. What about slipons and a upgraded air intake? Spill the beans Bro. I’m really happy for ya. I can feel your excitement over the new SG. If I was not in love with the RKS, I would be right there with ya on the SG. Keep the great content coming brother. Y’all peace out and I’m out for now.
@RidingintheOzarksАй бұрын
@@cornbread8246 let’s just say slip on’s, intake, tuner are high on the list. I really don’t feel the suspension is a priority, it’s that good but if a brand has something they want me to review I would consider it. I have a few brands donating some products to show you guys as well.

Great video Brother! I’ve got a 24 SG myself, bought it last January, black on black and I absolutely love it! Was cool to see your LA Choppa bars, I’ve been looking for bars myself. I don’t want anything higher than the fairing so I’m thinking 10s? Do the 12s pass the height of the top of the fairing? Were there any other brand bars you were considering along with LA choppers? I’ve seen a few that look like your style bars. Thanks.
@RidingintheOzarksАй бұрын
@@fireguy_75 I’m doing a video with measurements that might help you decide, I will try get it done in the next 10 days. They have 8 and 10’s. I would stay with 12, it is right at top of fairing but not too high IMO. There are more pics on IG and FB under same channel name. I considered KST but the dealer recommended these cause of clearance with fairing and I’m happy with the results. Thanks for watching!

Why didn't you like the stock bars? I have a 2024 Street Glide and find the bars ok. I'm 5'7" and wondering if bar change would be better?
@RidingintheOzarksАй бұрын
For the last 8 years I have been running 12 in bars on my 2016 Street Glide and find I am much more comfortable with a then up a little more. I will have a review on my new bars coming, I am almost 5'9" and broad shoulders so the stock ones make me feel pinched up a little. They are not terrible for a few hours at a time but when your putting on 400-700 miles in a day comfort starts to really matter on how you feel at the end of the day.
