Apologies if I just missed you talking about this, but there are two cool features/conveniences of the 2023+ EX-L: 1) the doors can automatically lock after the driver walks away. 2) there is no gas cap to mess with. Only a few competitors offer one or both of these useful conveniences.

Those capless tanks can fail. The one on my Mustang failed, it developed a leak. they are not cheap to repair. I prefer a cap.

I LIKE the FEATURE CONTENT IN the HONDA CRV-EXL. The ONE THING I THINK HONDA SHOULD ADD IS A DRIVER SEAT MAP POCKET.
