Such a great vehicle except for the pricing. Honda Philippines made a mistake in terms of pricing, they're desperately handing out 120k cash discounts of this variant nowadays.

It seems like they are matching US pricing, which considering the salary gap between a first-world and a third-world country isn’t really the best idea. Hey, at least it isn’t priced like it is in the UK where it is priced like a new BMW lol.

The highest trim Sport Touring here in the U.S. doesn't even have the body-colored over fenders. Definitely, Asia has a better looking CRV. Even the HRV back there looks better. Nice review!

Excellent car but a hard sell now that BYD entered the market with a cheaper and better alternative PHEV Sea Lion 6. Its gonna be a tough year ahead for Honda CRV and Toyota RAV4 HEV's....

I like BYD but prefer to observe good % of Chinese cars survive at least 10 yrs before I invest in them. My Japanese cars are 17 and 24 years still OK--parts available, and easy to DIY. But yes, would like to see Japanese prices compete. Btw next Sealion will be pure EV.

A lot of standard buyers are still hesitant to buy Chinese brand vehicles. Geely for example there are A LOT of horror stories on their after market experience same with MG. Chinese car brands are great and super sulit. You really get your moneys worth but they haven't proven their reliability, durability, and after sales services. That is why a lot of consumers are still going for Japanese and Korean brands for peace of mind.

The Sealion 6 certainly has cars like the CRV hev in its crosshairs. Honda does have the advantage of being a more trusted brand while BYD has alot to prove and wants as many new fans into the fray! Both great cars, though!

Reliability and longetivity are what make honda expensive.. we all just have to live with that.. you just dont buy a million peso car good for only for a year or two? Yung honda city ko dalaga na meaning more than 18 years na pero maayos pa rin ang takbo.. even toyota or mazda mahaba ang buhay.. yung byd kaya aabot ng ganon?
