2024 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid L: TEST DRIVE+FULL REVIEW

Almost 4 weeks into my 2024 crv sport hybrid the engine light comes on yesterday saying “Emmissions system problem, you might experience loss of power, contact your dealer.” Some rough idling and rattling under the car that’s what I did. Today my car is at the dealer service station all day with no loaner from Honda even though it’s under warranty. Loss of a day. The service tech said they been having software issues like this and will be an all day service. I was glad to finally be welcomed to the Honda family a month ago thinking I was home sweet home at a great make and model. Surprise surprise! 😢

@@shawn1869 Problem got worse physically. I took the car back and had to jump on their a**es for them to take it seriously. Ended up being leaking fuel injectors which caused a bad spark plug. They ordered parts and finally replaced fuel injectors, pipe assembly, and spark plug a month later. Since then no more rattling or rough idling. However, I do once in a while get a “Lane Asssist not working see dealer”. I took back, but they claimed not to see it and wasn’t logged in cars computer supposedly. Still drive it with no other issues other than once in a while that “see dealer” error coming on. Other than that everything’s cool 😂

I just bought the 2024 CRV 😮Hybrid Sport. It has upgrades from the factory and the dealership. It makes the car a lot more expensive. I wanted leather seats and they offered to install leather for an additional price. The dealership discounted some of the upgrades. They had the one you tested but the color was an electric blue, which I hated. It’s a very beautiful design inside and out. They ride is so smooth. Amazing interior design. I was going to purchase the RAV 4, but I did not like the interior. I felt it lacked a luxurious feel that the Honda CRV Hybrid sport has. Most new Hybrids don’t come with spare tire. It does come with road assist for three 3 years and/or 60000 miles. I bought the extended warranty so that I don’t have to worry about😮 it for long time. I have owned two Hondas and an Acura MDX and they all were super reliable . I never had a problem with any of the cars. Hope this helps.

I bought a 2024 CRV Hybrid Sport Touring last week, and so far it's been amazing. Great ride, more than enough power, really nice fit & finish on the inside. I wasn't happy that there isn't a spare, but obviously not a deal breaker for me. My only criticism so far - the washer fluid is not sprayed onto the front glass, but rather released by each of the wiper blades. I've found already that this does not adequately distribute the washer fluid on the windshield and parts of it remain not cleaned after utilizing the wipers/washer function....

Hi Patrick. I agree with you on that. I dislike the fact that there is no spare tier and the washer fluid being dispensed from the wiper blades (I haven't tried them, but just in theory). I am yet to receive my order of the base sport. It's been 4 weeks already.

Idk if it's a touring thing but the cabin is so quiet! I hope the sports trim is as quiet at least in the city!

This car looks a bit plain at first but it grows on you. I think Honda is wise to move away from the more quirky designs of the CR-V. My favorite is the one two generations ago. I think it is most pleasing but this current model is very appealing.

Thank you for the video. Very thorough. I had to rewind a few times because I missed a few things. Just a suggestion to slow down a bit. Especially at the steering wheel and dash segment. I know you've got a lot of information to squeeze in but I'm still suggesting you take a few breaths. Lol. What are the advantages of nitrogen filled tires? Can you explain what that would mean if I had to fill them? Thank you!

no, it doesn't. Hybrids come with emergency repair kit.

is upgrading to the touring worth the price. Overall the only significant difference appears to be sound system as I wouldnt use navigation in touring. Would the touring have a quieter ride? thx

Smh, the Canadian equivalent is the EX-L Hybrid and is $12000 more. They are built here, absolutely crazy but, we bought one based on quality and reliability over it’s competitors which, I don’t think Hyundai, Kia, VW or even Nissan can compete with Honda and Toyota.

For that kind of money, IT BETTER HAVE A SPARE !!!! Honda is great , but they've done some screw-ups with their vehicles in the past 10 to 15 years. Making them cheaper. I've had 3 accords and I just bought a 08 CRV which I love.

Very nice review but what happened to the spare tire and why is the most expensive vehicle in the class the slowest and has the worst fuel economy not even coming close in its advertised highway fuel economy.

Thanks! Most hybrids lose the spare because of the rear batteries and electric motors, but what’s wrong with the fuel economy? Averaging 35-40mpg isn’t class leading but it’s certainly nothing to complain about 👍🏼

I don't understand why these manufacturers make decisions like including the orange stitching by default..not everyone is going to like that (I think it's corny). It should've been an option. Is there no option to get that trim level WITHOUT that orange stitching all over the place?

The 2023 CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid trim features resonance-reducing wheels for a quieter ride. Does 2024 Sport L have same wheels? Also any difference in glasses?
