How to Apply for a Passport in India: A Step-by-Step Guide in 2024 in Telugu
In this video, I will show you how to apply for a passport in India. I will walk you through the entire process, from filling out the application form to scheduling an appointment to submitting your documents. I will also provide tips on how to avoid common mistakes. If you are planning to travel abroad, you will need a passport. A passport is a travel document that allows you to enter and leave countries. It is issued by the government of your country of residence.
To apply for a passport in India, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Register on the Passport Seva Online Portal (Link: passportindia.gov.in)
2. Fill out the application form.
3. Pay the application fee.
4. Schedule an appointment at a Passport Seva Kendra.
5. Submit your documents.
6. Wait for your passport to be processed.
The entire process can take several weeks, so it is important to start the application process early.

My temporary address is different and permanent address is different currently I am leaving in Hyderabad this is my temporary address, so I can book the passport based on temporary address and same location can be used for police verification. Is there any problem for issuing the passport based on temporary address or definitely I should use the permanent address. And, which address will be printed on the passport if I use temporary address..

If you want your temporary address only then don't keep permanent address while applying take bank passbook and apply there is no issue to do it. Only present address will be verified by police and issue passport

Hello, Greetings..! With your video reference I'd applied passport for my mom :) Please clarify/suggest the below, I'd checked with many resources but the solution is still missing.. My mom DOB is different in 10th certificate & Aadhar(correct DOB is as per Aadhar) as the same is used for bank accounts, etc.. I used same DOB as per Aadhar under non-ecr category. Also, under self declaration I'd chosen both proof of birth & proof of address as Aadhar. Now, as I'd selected the non-ecr category as Y : 1. Do we need to show the 10th certificate at the time of appointment & if yes, will there be any chances of rejection or is there any solution..? 2. As I selected both proof of birth & proof of address as Aadhar under self declaration, no need to show 10th certificate..? In this case will there be any problem in future at immigrations as the DOB will be different in Passport & 10th certificate. 3. If above 2 options are not possible then the only option is to change the DOB in Aadhar & then make changes in passport accordingly. Is there a way to change the DOB, once the application is registered. 4. As a last option can we change to ECR category if above 3 options are not possible at the appointment time..? Is this a good idea..? Really appreciate your efforts. Thanks in advance. SSK

Hi, I will try to make it simple, 10th Marksheet is not mandatory for a Passport application, but you must carry more than one age-proof document to avoid any confusion or issues during the application process. Along with Aadhar try to carry birth certificate or a school leaving certificate with correct DOB. I would also suggest to carry 10th marksheet during appointment just in case if they ask. If asked explain the issue and show other correct DOB proofs. Hope it's clear ✌🏻
