2024 Kawasaki KX450 at Glen Helen Raceway

High Noon moto at the world famous Glen Helen "National" track on 3.9.24, or 9.3.24 if you're located in the more logical regions! When the track is only open from 8AM - 1PM it's common to be roughest and choppiest around this time. With midweek rains and saturated soil the base was surprisingly hard this particular Saturday, but Dunlop's new AT82 tires handled it well. See bike specs below for more details. Very good bike, one of the best for 2024 model years. Smooth engine by 450cc standards down low, but sneaky fast once rolling and on the throttle. Handling is predictable and this generation KX450 turns better than any other Kawasaki 450 to date. Nissin hydraulic clutch and Brembo front brake are solid components, and the ergos are comfortable for a wide range of riders. However, be prepared to invest in stiffer suspension springs if over 190 lb. (86 kg) or are a faster than average rider/racer. Cheers

@CasMoto How are the ergo's compared to a '23+ YZ450? Does it feel less "tall"?

Great question. Short answer, the ergos are really really good. It does feel slightly less tall, but more long than the YZ450F. The seat has a more traditional shape and breaks in quickly, unlike the Yamaha which has a thin seat foam and unique profile. Overall, the Kawi is more a known feel, old-school in a sense, where the Yamaha can feel almost too new and futuristic.
