i actually looked at this as one of the potential upgrade of my Serena. However when tested on the 3rd row seat, somehow i felt the Serena is having more comfortable seating position. This Carnival is a much bigger car but surprisingly not the 3rd row. I am using all 3 rows almost on daily basis and unfortunately this doesn't seem like a go for me. So far only the Vellfire (recond) is better on 3rd row.

I disagree. I’m 1.73m tall and can seat comfortably in 3rd row.

Wait for the new model with 1.6 turbo engine. Diesel is not green. I would forgo the Bose (which is hard on the ears) for better after-market options.

Its using diesel engine with aluminum block ... A bit worry about that. Does it have iron sleeves to withstand the high pressure combustion?

Yes indeed, been wondering about that since the engine in staria is using cgi block & timing chain compared to this smartstream engine which uses aluminum & timing belt. Quite rare for a modern diesel to use a belt system

Hi, I have got my carnival 7 seater 2024 yesterday. I have limited features/apps in the infotainment system. When I checked with the salesman, he said that the new 2024 version only offers limited features. Is that true. I feels like being cheated.

Don't see many new 2023/2024 Carnivals on the road, I guess that speaks for itself. Personally I had bad experience with Korean cars having owned a Carnival, Sonata and Starexx before (was a strong Kia/Hyundai fan boy). Overall experience is, you will suffer when you car hit 5 years old. Parts are very expensive and maintenance is high. There are few third party workshops that specialises in these brands so you are forced to go back to the official workshops and they will shark you! If you are a normal joe this is not the brand you should even try!

Solid, stable, strong chassis, good looking, excellent handling, the list goes on. Much better than the overrated, cartoon looking AhFart and Velfailer, with the Ahbeng chromes, bumpers, skirtings, blue lights and out pf proportion body shape. Too bad many msians still stucked in the 1997 realm of thinking Japanese cars quality is better, when the 1st world countries has moved on to Koreans and the Chinese made.

Alphard and Vellfire is rubbish. Can ensure u this one is better. Go for a test drive urself coz in the end, each people have their own preferences.

Kia ia good car but after sales service is poor. Aku punya Kia Rio YB this bulan 6 habis waranty, kereta ada masalah tidak dapat claim waranty maa, dh la service skrg mahal teruk. Lebih baik jangan jual Kia kat Malaysia laa, sangat memalukan

Korean quality just isn't comparable to Japanese. Another major Kia recall today. Kia is recalling more than 101,000 cars and SUVs because of an issue with the vehicles’ roofs, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
