I like the magazine bins for student workbooks. Would you be able to fit 2 bins per shelf slot above their coat hooks? Not only would it make them easier to reach, but it would also open up a lot more storage space for other items.

Just an idea: You could shrink and reprint the alphabet to fit that wall better.

That is surely an option. However time constraints and other more pressing issues I think are going to take precident.

What type of phonics program do you guys use 🎉
@kindergartenall-stars69213 ай бұрын
@@jamarconway4459 We use HMH Reading which has phonics built in. I know nothing about it. But for my small group and maybe even some whole group I will be using From Phonics to Reading which is absolutely amazing!

Why do you use a word wall instead of a sound wall?
@kindergartenall-stars69213 ай бұрын
Honestly the plan was initially to make a sound wall but unfortunately I don't have the wall space to put all those sound spelling cards up there. My plan is to explicitly teach the sounds and spelling patterns and highlight those patterns on the word cards themselves. I will not be teaching rote memorization of the high frequency words

@@kindergartenall-stars6921 that's what I've always done and honestly, I can't see myself teaching any other way as students can and do learn to read rather quickly like that as they are more able to decode new words, most times without help based on what they learn. But ofc English is English so they do still need help when English starts Englishing
