The crankshaft controls the stroke length, not the connecting rod. So KTM has increased the crankshaft throw (crankshaft radius) to increase the displacement from 373 cc to 399 cc. Furthermore, connecting rod length does have a huge effect on the engine; "longer" rods decrease sideloading of the piston on the cylinder walls, decreasing friction at high rpm's, and also increasing piston dwell time at TDC, both of which are helpful for high-revving bike engines to make more power.

Sir I own R15M and nowadays I don't know what happened to the quickshifter sometimes if I upshift it automatically downshifts and it really is risky if it happens while overtaking or ghats. I told service center guys those guys said now we fixed it but it's still the same...can you tell what must be the problem??
