@@500cherry its acc so easy for plath do 2 quotes per poam 1 imagery 1 poetic technique and u will be fine for that, comparative doesnt meed quotes and ours is hamlet thats gonna be a struggle

I would disagree with the Gertrude and Ophelia Q, for the reason that a) there is only one viable way in which they could be asked - how their characters impact the play. And that came up in the mock papers so obviously there would be problems there. As for themes, they will never ask a straight theme Q because it's not even a Q at that point - it's you spewing off what you know about that theme. They *could* ask you on how they are developed in the play, but that's different and the only way they could reasonably do that is through the theme of revenge. Claudius and Hamlet are both very likely to come up. I would consider looking at the D2023 Macbeth Q on his decisions throughout the play. It's a perfect Q for either Claudius or Hamlet, especially considering hardly anyone sat it. They'd obviously throw in some small change but essentially the same Q.

Thank you for your comment! Based on our analysis, we have found that leading women of Shakespearean dramas have come up as their own questions (2018 for King Lear, 2014 for Macbeth etc) so we believe there is a reasonable chance that students will be asked about Gertrude and Ophelia. Something appearing on a mock exam is not a guarantee that it won’t appear on the state exam, so we still think it’s worth students’ time having something preprared for this regardless. Overall, this video only outlines our educated guesses for what may come up on the exam, so you’re right that students should still revise the characters Claudius and Hamlet. 😊
