This is so great. A lot of good news from BMW Group lately.

Its cute and great design overall. I like it. The problem is always the price.

The electric version of Mini Aceman is built in China and should not be expensive from production point of view. It's just that electric cars in UK and EU are generally overpriced to rip off customers. A VW ID.3 sells for ~£15k in China but a stunning ~£35k here in the UK. Ora cat is >£30k in the UK but is only ~£12k in China. A Tesla Model 3 is ~£26k in China while nearly doubling in the UK (they are cheap in the US as well). The same goes with hybrid models produced by Toyota, Honda and Nissan, where prices in UK are doubling the same models in China or Japan.

@@AaronStarkLinux I have told you that the root cause of high price is the government, that all cars are just much more expensive :D

have you driven it yet? Whats the driving tech like? line keep, cruise, blind spot

Hi! Great video. What is the Mini Aceman like when driving on the highway? Would you say the cabin is quiet or noisy in terms of wind and road noise? I am currently looking to get an electric car that is as quiet as possible yet not one of the very top-of-the-line models in the marketplace. Which electric cars have you found to be especially quiet inside the cabin when driving for example 90-110 km/h?

Thanks Thomas, I was really turned off by the framed doors. Don’t you think it makes it less modern?

I wish it had more storage though. What is that tiny cabin and the armrest oh my goodness 🙄

I feel like BMW needs to either get serious about electric, or commit to ICE for another decade. EVs shouldn't have transmission tunnels in the 2020s.
@ipodee789 ай бұрын
Exactly, transmission tunnel and no frunk?
@hazindu9 ай бұрын
@@ipodee78 Yep, I know it will sound petty to some, but EVs are a big paradigm shift to a country bumkin like me, so if I'm going all in, I'd like to believe the manufacturer is all in as well, and platform sharing with ICE, even if it results in a perfectly good car, doesn't communicate a commitment.

The interior is better than the concept model with those ugly patchwork fabric thing. Just get a smart #1. This Aceman doesn't cut it unless you are a diehard Mini fan.
@dna98384 ай бұрын
It’s all unrefined angles and lacks connection to its heritage. It’s like someone looked at various small cars from anonymous East Asian brands and thought ‘let’s make something even more generic.’ Mini has heritage and should be playing to that strength.

@SinanTatlicioglu5 ай бұрын
if the range is 400 km as claimed not horrible as it seems at first. Since Aceman is lighter than Countryman (462 km range) it has a slightly shorter range even though the battery size difference is more substantial.
@maikvdz2515 ай бұрын
@@SinanTatlicioglu I know. But you know as well as I do that in EVs the range is usually much less. This is a 50K car with a 49kwh battery. That's a lot of money.
