Just got mine 3 weeks ago. You can set the brightness at night how you like it. I keep mine pretty dim and it's not distracting at all

lol whats the blue dots on the dashboard ? what was BMW thinking. Looks like flashlight from roof ? and the acceleration sound is just horrible. And display with white on light blue color is just stupid. Sorry but in just 1 min i find dozen's of stupid design choices that annoys me. There should be "nightmode setting" to remove all these stuff. And the biggest issue with Mini:s is the dash is not infront. Human brain "steers" where your eyes looks... That's why people will drive into the ditches when using the touchscreen. Just like any motorcycle or bicycle you look where you turning. :D
