One thing you should've mentioned (or got a little more in-depth into) is how Mitsubishi's Super-Select 4WD-II System is that it is one of the only 4x4 systems in the segment that allows you to run Full-time 4WD on Sealed surfaces, basically normal, everyday roads. How it works is that unlike other 4x4 systems from most other brands in the segment where 4H locks the center diff, Mitsubishi created a different 4WD mode for that which is 4HLc (4WD High-range w/ Locked Center Differential), making it separate from the 4H mode, which results in much less stress since the center diff is unlocked and not forcing the front and rear wheels to spin at the same rate. I suggest that this should be mentioned as this may be a very big factor for those who are opting to get a 4x4 unit, PPV and/or Pickup. The only other brand that has a system similar to Mitsu's SS4WD-II system is Ford's 4x4 system. However, if I'm not wrong, the only variant that has the 4x4 mode that allows you to run on Full-time 4WD is the Ranger Raptor, as I'm unsure if the Wildtrak 4x4 also has this system, but from what I know, it doesn't (maybe I'm not up to date, but yeah, correct me if I'm wrong😅). This is something that really gives the Triton Athlete and even the Montero Sport GT 4WD (now the Black Series 4WD) a major advantage over it's 4x4 counterparts.

I would definitely go with FORD if they don't easily break :P Not particularly with their 4x4 system, but with its engine. Imagine that bi-turbo 2.0L engine being forced to move a heavy SUV/Pick-up trucks. I don't know how people doesn't realized this and are still being tricked in to buying one.

Can I switch from 2H to 4H while driving or any other 4WD from Triton Athlete AT?
@MochizukiYuuseiАй бұрын
@Kalfia As far as I know, the Triton Athlete is the only one in the segment (aside from the Ranger Raptor but that's like 400k more) that can switch from 2H to 4H on normal, everyday roads, and is not just for off-roading. Aside from 2H and 4H (2H mainly for on-road use, 4H for carrying heavier loads and light-off roading), there's also 4HLc and 4LLc, which is reserved for off-road use only, as using these modes on-road could potentially cause damage to the vehicle if done so due to the stress caused by the center differential (hence, why it is called 4HLc and 4LLc, Lc standing for Locked Center Differential) trying to maintaining the power to be split 50% to the front, 50% to the rear. Combine that with a Rear locking differential and 7 drive modes, and that makes it a very capable off-roader.

@@Kalfiacan and I did. Tested mine while driving in the rain, didn’t stop, changed to Neutral gear, switch to 4H, maintain 100km/hr on road. No problem!

I like the most from triton is his face design nya. Ang pogi nya tignan same with the rear design nya ang ganda tignan!

Suspension feels different from the gls because i believe they removed a leaf spring at the back for the athlete

The Instrument Gauge Cluster and Head Unit of the Triton is taken from Nissan Terra. Hope that Nissan will produce and rebadge the Mitsubishi Triton as the All-New Navara just like when Nissan rebadged the Xpander as the All-New Livina.

Ford ranger wildtrak jumpstarted this bandwagon of sporty looking trucks with black trims and wheels gone are those days where chrome and silver wheels is the class. Now top of the line variants just looks like a base variant with gloss black trims instead of matte some of them even have gaudy fender flares🤣 ohh god stop this madness
@PunzL2 ай бұрын
Pickups are meant to rugged for hauling loads. Chrome and silver trims will look terrible after a bit of use. If you want that, then get an SUV instead
